The summer tire Michelin Primacy 5 is designed for use in virtually any modern passenger car. This is due not only to the wide range of tire sizes, which includes eight dozen options. The model is designed for everyday use in a variety of road conditions, demonstrating reliable coupling properties on dry and wet surfaces, fuel efficiency, low noise levels, and "signature" ride comfort.

Improved traction on wet surfaces
In the development of the tire, a significant part of the developers' attention was paid to ensuring maximum traction on wet surfaces. To do this, two technologies were used. First of all, this is EverGrip, the essence of which is the use of special grooves, the effectiveness of which is ensured not only by the number, size, and location. These drainage elements are distinguished by a profile that preserves their volume as the tread wears out, allowing it to effectively combat aquaplaning even at high mileage. Another technology that ensures reliable traction on wet surfaces is EverTread. This is an optimized rubber compound that, in addition to natural rubber and a large amount of silica, contains special polymer compounds. These components provide high strength and elasticity at the molecular level, as a result of which the tread remains very elastic at low temperatures, while being highly resistant to abrasive wear and punctures, which, among other things, allowed the tire to surpass its predecessor in terms of mileage by tens of percent.

Increased ride comfort
Like other models from the French tire manufacturer, this tire stands out from the majority of its competitors with an exceptionally long service life. In addition to the rubber compound, this is ensured by the MaxTouch technology, borrowed from truck tires. Its essence lies in the optimization of the tire's structure, which, on the one hand, minimizes deformation when subjected to multidirectional acceleration forces, and on the other hand, increases the contact patch, giving it a nearly rectangular shape, which remains unchanged even during dynamic maneuvering. As a result, a very even distribution of load on the road surface is ensured, which reduces the abrasive effect on the tread, thereby increasing the tire's ride comfort.
