Marshal MH12

The Marshal MH12 summer tire is one of the novelties that, like other models of this brand, was developed by specialists of the South Korean company Kumho. It was created to replace the tire with the factory index MH11, which partly served as the "basis" for the development of the new tire.

Improved tread design

One of such "borrowings" was the design of the tread pattern. Like its predecessor, it is symmetrical and non-directional. However, numerous innovations have made it possible to significantly improve the performance of this tread, especially in terms of maneuverability and braking efficiency on wet pavement.

The longitudinal rib located in the center of the tread has significantly increased in size, giving it higher resistance to deformation. As a result, the tire demonstrates stable behavior at high speeds, as well as sporty handling. Being very rigid, the central rib provides fast and accurate transmission of lateral accelerations to the steering column.

As for the braking properties, they have been improved thanks to the changed design of the shoulder blocks. They have also increased in size, as well as the lamellas cut into them. This has provided the contact patch with extended gripping edges, the transverse arrangement of which has increased the effectiveness of the tread during deceleration.

Updated compound

The tire tread is made of a compound whose composition has been updated, hardly not completely. The key innovation was the appearance of a new generation of silica. This component gives the tread not only improved traction on wet pavement. It provides high resistance of the rubber mixture to tears and stretching, reduces rolling resistance.
