The Doublestar DW02 winter tire features a design adapted for use in areas with a cold continental climate. The tire is characterized by high efficiency on low-traction surfaces, demonstrating reliability and reliability on poor roads.
The tread pattern is designed in an asymmetric design. Its characteristic feature is the reduced size of the blocks, which has increased their number and, accordingly, the number of long and high edges. As a result, excellent traction efficiency is achieved on snowy surfaces. On slippery and hard surfaces, the performance of the tread is ensured by numerous lamellas. These miniature wave-shaped elements form a total of several thousand sharp multidirectional edges. Their effectiveness is enhanced by the elasticity of the tread. It is made from a rubber mixture, the composition of which is more than half represented by silicon dioxide. This component increases the elasticity of the tread at negative temperatures, while ensuring its strength and durability.
