Hyundai H1 is a line of light commercial vehicles produced by the South Korean brand since 1996. It is offered in a wide range of modifications, from a minivan to a van and a special services vehicle.

First Generation

The commercial vehicle presented in 1996 was positioned as a successor to the Grace model, but at the same time available in a much wider range of modifications, thanks to the new platform. The previous diesel engine was replaced by a turbocharged power unit 4D56 also from the Japanese manufacturer, which was slightly more powerful, but much more traction, developing 84 hp and 201 Nm. They worked in conjunction with a 5-speed manual transmission, or a 5-range "automatic" from Aisin. In 2000, the vehicle underwent a modernization, within which modifications with a V6 volume of 3 liters from Mitsubishi Pajero appeared. After a few more years, the model began to be equipped with a new turbocharged diesel engine with a volume of 2.5 liters of its own design, with a power of 141 hp and a torque of 360 Nm. The next update in 2005 affected the front panel, both bumpers, the radiator grille, fog lights, and rear lights, as well as the possibility of ordering leather upholstery for seats and door cards. And in the engine range, a new "basic" engine appeared - an in-line "four" with a volume of 2.4 liters of the Sirius family.

Second Generation

In 2012, the brand introduced a vehicle of the next generation. Externally, it differed significantly from its predecessor due to the front part and the wedge-shaped silhouette, which significantly improved aerodynamics and, as a result, fuel efficiency. It was these same aspirations that guided the choice of transmission. The previous 5-speed "mechanics" was replaced by a 6-speed one, which, in combination with modernized diesel engines, more traction at low revs, gave a significant reduction in fuel consumption. In turn, for passenger modifications, the manufacturer continued to offer 4- and 5-range "automatics" of its own design. Starting from the first generation, this line of commercial vehicles was quite popular due to sufficiently low operating costs.
