Technical Features

The car is based on the Chrysler PM/MK platform, which in turn is derived from the Mitsubishi GS, but in a modified form. The suspension is classic: "MacPherson" in the front and multi-link in the rear. The body is all-metal, with programmed crumple zones. The base model had front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive was optional. It was implemented using an electromagnetic coupling and an angular reducer that connected the rear axle.

There were several gasoline-powered engines: 1.8, 2.0, and 2.4 (this option was available as both atmospheric and turbocharged). And there was only one diesel engine, a 2.0-liter one from Volkswagen. A 5- or 6-speed manual transmission (depending on the modification and year of production) or a Jatco variator served as the transmission.
