The rubber is quite soft, it doesn't make noise on snow, but it rustles on asphalt. The spikes are still all in place. It copes with snowdrifts in courtyards and in the country house, it scrapes (within reasonable limits). On the highway, it holds the road, and brakes adequately. In general, I'm satisfied. The price matches the quality.
