Unexpected discovery: not bad tires! Ran 94,000 km and should last for another season! Some studs have fallen out, but this can be solved with additional studding. The tread is fine, although I've had a couple of instances of uneven wear, resulting in a "Christmas tree" pattern and some unevenness. The softness has not been lost. I've repaired it several times myself using a tire plug. In general, it withstands all kinds of abuse. Balances normally, not crooked. A bit noisy, like all studded tires.
