I used to drive on 10-year-old studded tires that had worn down significantly but hadn't fallen apart, Nokian Hakkapeliitta, I think it was the 5th model. What didn't satisfy me about Nokian was that when driving on ice in my yard, the rear of the car would skid... And it was impossible to get out of the icy ruts to park... Otherwise, on the highway, it was confident. With Hankook, these issues in the yard were resolved positively... About 80%... Not ideal, but close. In other respects, the tire is indeed less noisy, even compared to the summer Nexen (and it's very quiet, trust me) in comparison to Nokian... Much better in terms of noise. On the highway, the car rides smoothly.. But sometimes it sways and when changing lanes, it's a bit slippery... Although there's no problem with that... You just get a bit used to it.. On Nokian, it was somehow more confident... I drove 300 km on the highway with snowy slush at around -2... When everything is wet and icy... On the highway at 130 km/h without problems with lane changes.... But still, it's a bit slippery. In general, if it weren't for this, the tire can be said to be ideal.. The studs are still all in place. It was balanced normally. It brakes, of course, better than the toothless Nokian. In other respects, I'm not an expert... And I can't compare it to a bunch of tires I haven't driven on... I've always had Nokian Hakkapeliitta or Michelin X-Ice for winter... And if it weren't for my poverty, I would have bought them.... But this one is significantly cheaper... And since I'm not a racer... I decided to save money.

I have 3 cars. I drive on more expensive and well-known tires. But!!!... After Hankook W429A I PikeX I realized that I didn't need to buy more expensive. I'm very satisfied. And the winter tire is also very quiet. I thought a lot and chose before buying. I didn't make a mistake!!!

Very commendable in all aspects. On ice, of course, they lose out to Contikas and Michels, but not by much. And in terms of price, compared to these same Contikas and Michels, it's a much more pleasant purchase. Briefly: the tires performed very well, probably the best value for money. I recommend purchasing them.

In detail: my last three sets of tires were Conti Ice Contact 3, Hakkapelita 9, and Pirelli Scorpion ice zero 2, and I will compare them to the new ones. Conti is unparalleled with excellent performance in everything except price, which is why I didn't buy them. Hakka 9 is very noisy and only average in terms of handling snowy and icy turns, with a tendency to skid abruptly and unexpectedly. Pirelli is quieter than Hakka and handles turns very well, with the rest being on par. This year, I needed new winter tires for my car and was going to buy Pirelli, but I stumbled upon a test of Hankook tires, which showed good results, and they were 4000 rubles cheaper per wheel, so I decided to try them and didn't regret it.

At the time of writing this review, I have already driven 3000 km in various conditions, from dry asphalt at +7°C to bare ice at -29°C.

The balancing process went smoothly, with no more than 30 grams on each side. During the running-in period, they were a bit noisy, but quieter than Hakka 9, and now they have become much quieter, similar to or slightly quieter than Pirelli. On dry and wet roads in positive temperatures, the handling is normal, like on studded winter tires. On ice, braking and acceleration are confident, on par with Hakka and Pirelli, and in turns, they are better than Hakka but slightly worse than Pirelli, but with a clear and predictable drift. And on compacted snow, you get a WOW effect, literally like driving on rails, even Conti might be worse. Snow is their element, and they handle deep, loose snow and wet surfaces very well, and on hard surfaces, they can handle speeds of 5+. In freezing temperatures, they don't become rigid, and on ice, it seemed that the grip was even better in extreme cold.

In general, as I said above, the best value for money. If you have more ice and a slightly bigger budget, then go for Pirelli, but if you have more snow, especially on rural roads, then definitely go for Hankook, regardless of your budget!

In terms of price/quality ratio - they are good. I would like them to hold better when you hit a puddle with one side of the wheel when the thaw sets in. The car is slightly skidded. On snow and ice - they are satisfactory.

I'm buying these tires for my 2nd car. You won't find a better option for the price.

- Quiet (very quiet in its price range)

- Wear-resistant (on my previous car, I drove 5 winters, 60% of the studs were still in place)

- Excellent grip on ice

- Doesn't hydroplane in the rain and doesn't throw you out of puddles like other models did

- On the highway, it confidently holds at 130 (I didn't go faster and didn't risk losing studs)

- In courtyards, the front-wheel drive always pulled me out of snowy and icy mud. Where many got stuck, I never got stranded (even on a sedan, I had this tire on my previous Lancer)

For this price, this is the best option available. It's not worth saving 4-6 thousand rubles and buying something cheaper. It's better to pay more and drive on these tires for 4-5 winters without any problems.

The tires are great! Traction on both snow and ice is super! Not noisy! Price-quality is super! I recommend to everyone!

Excellent tires, previously had Michelin, and after two seasons there were no studs left. Handling is good, studs are in place, not too noisy for winter.

I didn't like the tires, previously I drove 4 seasons on Gisloved Nord Frost 200, I will compare them with these. The advantages are that they grip well on snow, the winter of 23-24 was very snowy in the Urals, and in this regard, the tires were a pleasant surprise, with very good traction on loose snow, a high and large directional tread, many studs, and high passability. After 1 season and 7500 km, not a single stud fell out, all of them are firmly in their places, and everything is fine with balancing. The noise from the wheels did not bother me much. They also performed well on packed snow. Basically, the advantages end here, on ice they are normal but not ideal. The biggest problem is clean winter asphalt. The tires are hard, heavy, and uncomfortable, at first I inflated them to 2.6, then had to deflate to 2.4, and then even less to 2.3-2.2 - terrible rutting. On asphalt, the reactions are blurred, the handling is not clear, after running-in it became a little better, but not significantly, and after several weeks, I already had a strong desire to sell these Korean rubber products - the sensations were like wearing heavy leather boots. With strong negatives at minus 30 degrees, the tires become rigid, several times on the coldest nights after standing on an uneven surface, the tires would become like an egg - they would freeze and straighten out after a couple of kilometers. It's like driving on small potholes - very interesting, I've never had this on any other tires before. In general, these tires are exclusively for snowy roads, and I do not recommend them for city conditions, and I will not buy Hankook tires for myself again, at least not winter ones.
