Durable center rib. Took it for commuting in the far Moscow suburbs. No regrets. Performs well on snow and ice with almost no questions asked. Noisy on asphalt with a relatively small amount of studs. Would be noisy and lumbering in city use. Although, not critically so. Over the course of this winter, about two studs per wheel have fallen off at mainly highway mileage.
