Yokohama Bluearth-Van RY61

The Yokohama RY61 summer tire is designed for light commercial vehicles, full-size minivans, and motorhomes. It is characterized by high mileage and reliability on poor roads, improved traction on wet surfaces.

In the European and North American markets, the tire is positioned by the manufacturer as a tire that can be used all year round. This is largely due to the design of the tread pattern. It is literally filled with zigzag lamellas. Due to their transverse arrangement, they demonstrate the greatest efficiency during intense acceleration and braking. The blocks in which the lamellas are cut provide the tire with efficiency on dirt and snowy roads, forming high long edges.

The tread pattern design itself improves several operational properties at once. The large size of the blocks, the "multi-step" arrangement of the elements increases the contact patch, ensures even weight distribution of the vehicle on it. This enhances traction, improves handling comfort, reduces uneven wear of the tread and noise.

The tread is made of a rubber compound, the composition of which was optimized taking into account the characteristics of commercial vehicle operation. The compound is distinguished by increased resistance not only to abrasive wear but also to through mechanical damage - punctures and cuts.
