Saetta Winter
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Saetta Winter
The Saetta Winter tire belongs to the so-called "friction" tires, which are perfectly suited for use both in urban conditions and on highways. In such conditions, it demonstrates reliability of coupling properties, precision in handling, soft quiet ride and fuel efficiency.
The tread pattern is made in a "classic" design for winter tires with a directional arrangement of elements. Small blocks form transverse rows, which creates extended edges in the contact patch, increasing longitudinal traction on snow. The arrangement of element groups in a "chequerboard" order made it possible not only to increase their number, but also to provide a more even distribution of load on the road surface. This has a positive effect on both wear resistance and acoustic comfort. The effectiveness on slippery surfaces of rolled snow and ice is provided by several thousand sinusoidal lamellae, which form an additional corresponding number of sharp edges.
The main features of Saetta Winter
- a tread pattern with numerous small blocks provides excellent performance on snow;
- a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves and their increased volume prevent aquaplaning and slashplanning;
- several thousand sinusoidal lamellae allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on rolled snow and ice.
