DescriptionDescription Nitto NT555 Extreme Performance G2
The target audience for the Nitto NT555 summer tire with a factory index is sports cars. The model is characterized by uncompromising handling and traction at high speeds. At the same time, it is designed for use on ordinary roads, where it demonstrates long service life in addition to the above-mentioned properties.
The ideal "pair"
This model is offered in two versions. In addition to the "basic" version, there is a special R version for rear wheels. The development of both versions was carried out jointly, resulting in the creation of tires that complement and enhance each other's operational properties.
Compound
When developing the tire, the manufacturer actively used the experience gained in circuit racing. One of the areas of application was the compound. Its physicochemical properties ensure that the tread has high traction properties on dry pavement and resistance to tearing and stretching.
Cornering stability
The shoulder zones of the tread contain very massive blocks that have a trapezoidal shape in lateral projection. This gives them high stability against lateral acceleration forces. As a result, they are quickly transmitted to the steering column, providing the driver with clear feedback. Additionally, the significant area of the shoulder blocks improves traction properties when maneuvering and cornering.
Key features of the Nitto NT555 Extreme Performance G2 tire
- designed for sports cars;
- two versions - for all or rear wheels;
- a compound created using "racing" technologies;
- trapezoidal blocks in the shoulder zones provide the driver with clear feedback, improving handling and traction when maneuvering.

I took the new tyre for a test drive two weeks ago. The first thing that impressed me was the quiet ride, as the tyre produces very little noise. The second thing I tested was its performance in deep puddles and on a flooded road, and the results were excellent. I recommend this tyre as a good balance between sportiness and comfort.

Got tires as a half-war. Pseudo half-slick. Looking for quality at reasonable prices, not Chinese. What I can say:

They are aquaplaning stable (in a reasonable speed, of course). Not too continental, but somewhere nearby... On wet surfaces, they behave well, but on dry asphalt they require a "warm-up" to achieve good traction. On a cold surface, they don't grip well. On dry pavement, they are slightly noisy (I expected less noise), but I understand that any tire with a directional tread will be a bit noisier (it's a trade-off for
