I bought the Marshal MU12 after already having it for 5 summer seasons.

    And I'll buy it again!

It's really the best affordable tire for dynamic driving.

I have 234/45-17 size tires. Everything I write relates to this size only! (I haven't driven on other sizes and don't know how they perform). I always take ZR-17 with XL marking. Such tires (ZR + XL) allow me not to worry about rims and side cuts on our roads.

As for handling on dry pavement - there's more than enough! I've driven into turns with this tire and it always had a margin. Usually, I hit the limits of the suspension. (Just yesterday, I drove from General Dorokhov to Ameneyevo through the tunnel under Aminyevka at 120 km/h - faster is scary because of the bumps at the entrance).

Braking on dry pavement is also always with a margin, i.e., on dry pavement with upgraded brakes, even with the most abrupt and emergency braking, I just hang on the belts and make sure no one crashes into me from behind. ABS never works in the summer! This means that even with a sharp press on the brake, the tire doesn't lose traction with the asphalt, which is very important for safety.

The advantages related to braking and handling are due to the fact that the tire has a very soft compound and a well-designed tread.

Accordingly, the tire doesn't squeal or screech even with the most abrupt turns, braking, and acceleration.

As for driving in the rain - it's just as good as driving on dry pavement, but I consider myself adequate and haven't tested the tire in extreme modes in the city. With normal operation - braking, handling, everything is fine. I've never experienced aquaplaning.

Next, the downsides: The tire wears out very quickly! If you bought an affordable tire that allows confident turns at high speeds and sharp turns, brakes without blocking, and accelerates without screeching, you should understand that it will wear out quickly! From the state of new tires to the state of "maybe it's too bald to drive confidently in the rain" - 3 seasons.

Noise - it's still a noisy tire. Again, you need to understand what the tire is for - if you want to drive in silence and comfort, don't take "fast tire". I've driven on different tires, and usually, the ones that allow fast driving aren't very quiet, and on the other hand, quiet tires rarely allow you to drive fast and sharp turns without blocking and starting without wheelspin.

Also, I want to note, regarding my parameters (235-45-ZR17 XL) - due to the large width with my track (I remind you, I have a Toyota e150) - it throws me into deep ruts on the MKAD and TTK. In less deep ruts, it's more or less okay, but by September, when the ruts become deep, it becomes unpleasant. However, good traction allows me not to pay attention to it, i.e., I've never been thrown in such a way that I lost control of the car.

And another thing - due to the fact that I take ZR + XL - so I don't worry about potholes, cuts, and punctures (ZR means reinforced sidewall due to additional cord plies, and XL means increased load) - the tire is very harsh on the joints on the TTK and MKAD, you understand what kind of joints - the bumps from them, due to the stiff sidewall, are very harsh. But again, it's a minus in terms of comfort for the sake of improving the qualities that I need. My rims alone cost over 100,000 rubles, and I'd rather take a tire that will protect them from impacts than have to repair and eventually replace them.

And another remark: if you've read my review, you already understand my preferences, and my car is not stock, so... One tire won't make your car a racing car to stand confidently in turns - the shock absorbers, springs, stabilizers, and brakes need to be ready for that. I won't say that I'd recommend it for the track, but for the city and street - yes!

I'm 100% satisfied with the tire!

In the photo - my new tire, the depth of the new tread, and a photo of the previous set, on which it was already scary to drive in the rain.

This tire was purchased for a Honda Civic 4D 8th generation with a size of 215/45 R17. Produced in Korea, it is definitely the best tire in its segment in terms of price/quality ratio. Even with aggressive driving, the tire holds up perfectly, with absolutely no complaints or issues whatsoever. I definitely recommend it for purchase.

I used to ride on a Marshal before, left a good impression of the brand. But not these tires, the cord seems soft but the joints pass very stiff as if on low profile. And this rubber can't be called quiet. It holds the road well, and braking is normal, but the harshness is really annoying, I wouldn't take this model again.
