Lassa Competus Winter 2+
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Lassa Competus Winter 2+
The Lassa Competus Winter 2+ winter tire belongs to the friction type. It is installed on SUVs, pickups and minivans. It is characterized by confident handling on winter roads, fast self-cleaning of the tread and good driving performance on dry asphalt.
The tire is equipped with a directional symmetric tread. In its central part, there is a wide rib consisting of numerous blocks. Each of them has wavy lamellas with different directions. Due to this, confident traction is realized on snowy or icy roads. Wide drainage channels that encircle each block and open outward in the shoulder area guarantee the prompt cleaning of the contact patch from water, snow and mud.
The rubber compound contains silicic acid components that can maintain the elasticity of the tread elements even at low temperatures. This factor guarantees good traction and minimizes the braking distance in any weather conditions.
Key features of Lassa Competus Winter 2+
- confident overcoming of snowy and icy road sections due to numerous biting edges;
- fast cleaning of the contact area from moisture, snow and mud;
- the rubber composition is not affected by negative temperatures due to silicic acid additives.

- Good resistance to longitudinal aquaplaning
- Weak traction force and overall reduced snow grip
Very long braking distance on dry pavement
High noise level
- Lassa performed reasonably well on wet surfaces, but on dry asphalt and, particularly, on snow, the tires clearly do not have the highest level of grip
Verdict: Satisfactory
