Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Кама 218
The all-season passenger tire Kama 218 is one of the latest developments from one of the leading domestic manufacturers. This model is designed primarily for minibuses of the "Gazelle" and "Sable" families, as well as for low-tonnage trucks "Bychok". At the same time, it is released both in chamber and tubeless versions. Thanks to the use of simple and effective technical solutions, which have previously proven their reliability, the tire has a fairly humane cost with very attractive operating characteristics.
One of the key features of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern design is the presence of a large number of massive separate blocks. At the same time, all tread elements are combined into five longitudinal ribs, which made it possible to provide the tire with several important advantages. In particular, the five-rib structure of the tread ensures an even distribution of external load across the entire contact patch. Excellent traction and grip indicators are ensured by the multitude of engagement edges formed by the tread blocks. The minimum distance between the blocks reduces the noise level and also improves the fuel efficiency indicators due to the reduction of rolling resistance. Another feature of the Kama 218 tire is the presence of several self-locking S-shaped lamellas on the surface of each block, which additionally increase the stiffness of these tread elements. This solution has improved the handling characteristics, making it more refined. To increase the stiffness of the sidewalls, the shoulder areas of the tread were significantly reduced, which allowed the tire to withstand heavy loads without any problems.
Main features of the Kama 218 tire
- excellent traction and grip performance due to the five-rib design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern;
- low noise level due to the placement of tread blocks with an uneven step and a minimum distance between them;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning, which is ensured by the thoughtful design of the water drainage system.

I'd like to address the commentators talking about the mismatch of the load index, I'll break it down for the tankers: 1450 kg. Someone here wrote that I have 6.5-7 tons per axle, the tires are rubbish. Are you even serious?
The fourth wheels are 5800 kg, what kind of miracles do you believe in, that a 3000 ruble tire can withstand an overload of 100 t. km? The given tire

I think it serves well under merciless operation on unpaved roads, I specifically took it on a GAZelle in '23 so as not to spare the tires. So far, it's holding up, of course, it's worn out, there's definitely 50% wear, but the operation is also extreme. And so far, no cracks or bulges.

Hello. I have a light commercial truck, JMC-1052 three-tonner. My original tires lasted almost 100,000 km and became slippery even on a wet asphalt. The original tires for this truck cost 8,000 rubles, which I think is too expensive. I decided to put on Cam-a218. The best size for the tire is 225/75R16C from Bychka. They are slightly lower than the original ones, but noticeably wider, and
