The summer tire Hankook K137A Ventus evo SUV was specifically designed to be installed on a wide range of all-wheel drive crossovers and SUVs. To this end, it is produced in a large size range, allowing you to choose the optimal option for any car.

The model from the well-known South Korean manufacturer was developed using advanced technologies, which were reflected in the optimization of its performance characteristics. Among them is the improved grip with a wet road surface. This aspect was implemented due to several factors at once. Firstly, the special shape of the contact surface of the tread elements. They provide a denser contact with the road, minimizing the formation of voids. Secondly, a special compound with polymeric additives of a new generation guarantees a high degree of elasticity and stability of fixation with a wet surface. As a result, the tire demonstrates an improved braking performance in rainy weather by 7% (compared to analogues).

To maintain directional stability and provide maneuverability, three central ribs are provided. They, together with wide shoulder blocks, form an enlarged contact patch, the action of which has a positive effect on the improvement of acceleration and braking properties. Also, on the surface of the elements, there are grooves with sharp edges, which reduce the risk of aquaplaning, quickly cutting through the water film.

On the edges of many elements, a special chamfer is located, which, under load, provides more efficient friction. The result is an improvement in acceleration and braking properties on dry asphalt and a high level of control over the car's behavior.
The rubber compound has also affected the increase in the model's service life. Special additives reduce abrasive wear, maintaining elasticity at various temperature regimes. This has affected an increase in mileage by 32%.

Additionally, the transverse ties used in the shoulder block area create a closed structure, which contributes to a reduction in noise levels under normal driving conditions.

Optimal lateral drainage

The high-efficiency drainage design ensures control over block deformation, improving road contact. High safety on wet pavement is ensured by reducing the gap between the tire's contact surfaces caused by concave deformation, which allowed for a 7% improvement in wet braking efficiency and a 4% improvement in wet handling compared to the previous model.

Enhanced traction performance

The Ventus evo provides excellent grip even on wet roads due to the use of a new tread rubber compound with special polymers.

New compound composition

This enhanced rubber compound optimizes hysteresis, converting friction energy when in contact with the road, improving traction under various temperature conditions.

E-marking

Advanced technologies used in the Ventus evo and Ventus evo SUV tires have received an "A" rating for wet grip for all sizes.

Bevel edge

The design of the blocks with a chamfer at the edges evenly distributes the pressure in the contact patch and increases friction. Dry braking efficiency is significantly improved: 6% higher than our previous model.

Enhanced cornering stability

A flat sidewall surface enhances stiffness when cornering, providing the best grip and stability even at high speeds.

Optimal placement of stiffness elements

Increased stiffness in the direction of travel, particularly in the outer blocks, improves grip on wet surfaces.

The optimal arrangement of elements facilitates the distribution of stiffness

Lamellas, lateral grooves and transverse bridges are balanced to provide uniform block stiffness. Uniform wear increases mileage by more than 30% compared to the previous model.

Uniform contact patch pressure

The optimal shape and structure of the tire provide a balanced distribution of pressure in the contact patch, ensuring even wear and high mileage even under heavy loads.
