The Gripmax SureGrip eWinter winter tire is designed for use in regions with moderately cold climates. It is characterized by improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces, ease of handling during maneuvering, acoustic comfort, and smooth ride.
The directional tread pattern consists of numerous blocks that form a continuous series of V-shaped edges in the contact patch. This design provides excellent traction and braking properties on snow, directional stability at high speeds, and reduced rolling resistance. The lamellas cut into all blocks enhance the effectiveness of the tread on wet surfaces and compacted snow. In the shoulder zones, some of these elements have a teardrop profile, which allows the tread to retain moisture, thereby drying the contact patch. It is worth noting the V-shaped arrangement of the drainage grooves. It allows the rotation of the wheel to be used for water drainage, which significantly accelerates this process, ensuring high resistance to aquaplaning.
