DescriptionDescription General Tire Grabber AT
The General Tire Grabber AT is a next-generation model in the "elite" class for SUVs. The well-known brand is, without a doubt, the best advertisement for the offered products, and the vast majority of owners of prestigious crossovers unequivocally lean towards choosing General products.
Even at a glance at the style and design of the tread, you get a feeling of confidence and reliability, which fully corresponds to the technical characteristics of the tire.
The reinforced construction of the cord and rim of the tire reduces the risk of mechanical damage to a minimum. Plus, this model guarantees excellent speed and dynamic characteristics of the vehicle throughout the entire lifespan of the tire, the duration of which, considering the high resistance of the tread to wear, seems like a fantasy!
The basis of the Grabber AT tire concept is the maximum use of innovative technologies, with the main emphasis on increasing safety. The developers were able to fully implement their ideas, and the AT model surpasses its predecessors in a number of parameters. In particular, the General Tire Grabber AT tire has a significant advantage when braking on slippery road sections.
The increase in tire power is achieved through the use of flexible steel belts with high resistance to rupture during stretching. The use of silicone rubbers in the composition of the rubber gives the tires excellent elasticity, which achieves excellent shock absorption characteristics.
The developer did not limit himself to the traditional use of modern structural materials in the manufacture of rubber and cord, but rather focused on a detailed elaboration of the tread pattern.
The "floating" center of the lateral and peripheral blocks provides maximum dense contact with the road surface of any character, which contributes to the preservation of high stability of the power and dynamic characteristics of the vehicle. This includes the coefficient of transmission of traction and braking efforts.
The reinforced shoulder of the lateral blocks provides maximum return when working with the application of a perpendicular force vector. This, in combination with the specifics of the internal details, guarantees high directional stability and excellent power characteristics when driving on turns and along a trajectory of arbitrary curvature.
The self-cleaning effect of the tread channels is ensured not only by the "dynamic centering" of the blocks but also by the specifics of the cutting. The original design of gradually expanding channels is an invention owned by General and Continental.
The trouble-free overcoming of muddy and grassy areas is provided by special protrusions located in the depth of the channels. With such tires, your SUV will outperform any other, especially when climbing in slush or in winter with snowdrifts.
The character of the tread pattern and the mutual arrangement of channels and "floating" blocks reliably protect the tire from mechanical damage, for example, when driving in rocky terrain.
Powerful lateral blocks with a reinforced shoulder reliably protect against lateral mechanical damage (when driving on rough terrain with a large number of stones).
Main features of the General Tire Grabber AT tire
- Withstands heavy loads due to the use of ultra-stretchable steel belts in the cord construction;
- Elastic rubber maximally smooths out shocks and vibrations when driving on rough terrain;
- Unique dynamic, speed, and traction characteristics are provided by the patented tread manufacturing technology.

I'm currently on my second season with the General Grabber AT. I'm extremely happy with the set of tyres. On the road, the handling of the AT is above average, and it's not very loud. In mid-depth mud, it performs very well, and on mountain roads, it's absolutely fantastic, without any cuts or punctures. It's a very powerful and durable tyre. After 9000 km, the impression is that the tread is eternal. It balances well. I

The tire in terms of price-quality ratio - is excellent. Usage on asphalt/concrete pavement - 70/30. No single crack throughout the season. Visually, there is no wear. Holds the road perfectly. Compared to winter tires, is a bit stiff on asphalt. Did not get stuck in mud, haven't driven on ice and snow yet - can't say anything. Overall, very satisfied!
