Firemax FM523
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Firemax FM523
The Firemax FM523 summer tire is designed for SUVs that often find themselves on unpaved roads. The model belongs to the Mud Terrain category and shows its strongest advantages on earth and sand surfaces. It is worth noting the optimized tread design, which retains high efficiency even on asphalt roads.
Powerful Traction
The tire's tread is divided into several functional areas, which ensures a balance between the main working characteristics. One of them is the shoulder zones, made in the classic open design for such models. Each of them contains massive high blocks arranged transversely. They perform the role of traction elements, the high and sharp edges of which provide longitudinal traction properties, especially on road surfaces with low bearing capacity. The large distance between the blocks allows the tread to avoid "clogging", quickly cleaning not only small soil particles but also large stones.
Reduced Rolling Resistance
Another functional area is formed in the central part from two longitudinal rows of blocks. These elements have small sizes, are arranged in pairs, and are directed parallel to the movement. Such features improve several important properties at once. First of all, it is the rolling resistance, which decreases, as well as the heating of the tire during high-speed movement. The polygonal shape of the blocks forms an increased number of multidirectional faces in the contact area. This significantly improves traction properties on slippery surfaces.
Key Features of Firemax FM523
- designed for SUVs used primarily on unpaved roads;
- high shoulder blocks provide reliable overcoming of difficult off-road sections;
- central part design that reduces rolling resistance and improves directional stability at high speed.

Excellent tires both on the road and off-road. In winter, they also drive well on snow. Ice is not very good, but that's because it's a summer tire. I've been able to climb where not every car can pass. Wear resistance is excellent. After 60,000 km of mileage on a Toyota Tacoma 2009, not a single cut or puncture.

The tires are not very good. On dry ground, gravel, they are fine. Wear resistance is good. It's hard to puncture them with stones, unless it's a sidewall cut. The worst thing is wet asphalt, that's where you should hold on tight and wear diapers. The road is not grippy at all, it's problematic to start uphill on wet asphalt, and if it's uphill with a turn, it's impossible without 4WD. It's not even worth talking about winter. On fresh snow, they perform wonderfully, but on packed snow, it's like driving on wet asphalt. Personally, I didn't like the tires.
