The universal all-season Cooper Discoverer A/T light vehicle tire from the world-renowned North American manufacturer is designed for SUVs, pickups, and other all-wheel drive vehicles with increased passability.

The design of the symmetrical tread pattern of the tire is distinguished by its original appearance. According to the manufacturer, this tire has proven itself well both on roads with a solid surface and off-road. The tread pattern of the tire is equipped with two rows of individual blocks of original shape, located in the central part, and two shoulder zones, which are also two separate rows of blocks.

A distinctive feature of the Cooper Discoverer A/T tire is the original shape of the blocks located in the central part of the tread. To reduce noise, computer modeling tools were used in the development of the block shape, which made it possible to select the most optimal shape and block placement step on the tire tread from the point of view of noise frequency characteristics. In addition, the surface of each block is traversed by transverse zigzag-shaped lamellas, which made it possible to improve the traction characteristics when moving on a slippery surface without compromising stiffness.

For quick and efficient removal of water, snow slush, and mud from the contact patch, the tread pattern of the tire is equipped with four wide longitudinal grooves, which made it possible to improve the tire's traction with a wet surface and also contributed to an increase in passability when driving on rough terrain.

The reinforced shoulder zones of the tire tread are represented by two rows of separate massive blocks, ensuring traction when driving on sand, mud, and deep snow.
Thanks to the silica-containing rubber compound, the tire has increased traction with a wet surface and high wear resistance on stony and gravelly surfaces.

The technologies used in the tire production, the recipe of the rubber compound, and the design of the tread pattern have provided the tire with high efficiency on various types of surfaces.
