DescriptionDescription Yokohama 902W
The commercial tire Yokohama 902W is designed for long and intense operation in highway tractors and large buses. It is installed on the driving axle. It is characterized by high traction and coupling properties on slippery winter roads, resistance to damage and a long service life.
This model is favorably distinguished by the fact that it was initially developed as a winter tire. Its tread pattern contains a large number of sharp edges formed by both blocks and lamellas. The incisions are made in a Z-shape, which further increases the stability of the coupling properties on slippery surfaces. Another feature is the presence of two scenarios for its use. Until about half of the tread wear, it is considered a "winter" tire. With further reduction of the tread depth, the manufacturer recommends using it as an all-season tire.
Key features of Yokohama 902W
- The Z-shaped form of the lamellas, limiting the mobility of the blocks, increases the effectiveness of braking on slippery winter roads;
- A large number of blocks and notches provide high coupling properties on icy and snowy roads;
- With significant wear, the manufacturer recommends using the tire as an all-season tire.
