The Aeolus HN226 truck tire is favorably distinguished by a universal tread pattern, thanks to which it can be operated on the steering or driving axle of a truck and bus. Universal tread pattern
Most of the advantages of this model are provided by a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It consists of four longitudinal ribs, two of which are located in the central part, and the other two are shoulder zones. Since these tread parts perform different functions during movement, their design differs significantly.
The two longitudinal ribs located in the center of the tread contain a large number of transverse S-shaped lamellas. During movement, they form a multitude of edges that the tire hooks onto the irregularities on the surface of the road. At the same time, the S-shaped form allows the lamella walls to be tightly fixed to each other, thereby increasing the stiffness of the central longitudinal ribs. As a result, the tire demonstrates not only excellent traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction but also high maneuverability and excellent directional stability.
As for the shoulder zones, they are distinguished by massive sizes, which gives this part of the tread resistance to deformation. In addition, such a design, in combination with a flat tread profile, allows the contact patch width to be maximally increased, giving it a practically rectangular shape. Thanks to all these factors, not only excellent and very stable traction is ensured, but also an even distribution of external weight over the contact patch, which has a beneficial effect on both handling and durability.
