Good day to everyone!

I wanted to write a review and now I've finally decided to write it. Why now? Well, simply because I bought these tires last summer and it didn't make sense to write about winter tires then. Now that winter has arrived, I've driven on them and can share my thoughts. The winter has been quite harsh, with temperatures dropping to -25 and rising to 5, with snow and ice - basically, all the typical winter conditions.

I'll say right away that I don't have the opportunity to compare these tires to expensive ones (I've had Cordiant, Nokian 7, and some Chinese AoS tires), so my review might be a bit inaccurate, and I apologize for that in advance.

So, my first impression of the tires was a bit strange - for the first 50 km, I felt like I was driving on cobblestone, not asphalt, but that feeling went away. There's no excessive noise from them (almost as quiet as my summer tires, just a bit louder). On dry asphalt, they seem to perform just as well as my summer tires (Continental), at least I didn't notice any difference. However, when the road got snowy, slushy, and icy, some nuances appeared. They handle snow okay, but if there's ice under the snow, they start to slip (although I think that's the case with any tires on ice). When turning, you get the feeling that the car might start to skid, but it still holds on, although it's better to slow down a bit and it'll be fine. Changing lanes on the highway is normal, even with snowy "boulders" and slush between the lanes, although you get the feeling that the handling is a bit unstable when driving over a "boulder", but it's still okay. You can also move on bare ice, but as you'd expect, you shouldn't make any sudden movements and should drive uphill without stopping or accelerating too hard, as they say, "in a stretch". And one more thing, if you want to start moving quickly from a traffic light, it's unlikely you'll be able to do that - you'll probably need different tires (although it might be possible with a four-wheel-drive vehicle).

In short, my conclusion is:

If you're not a racer and you need tires to drive safely in winter without getting stuck, then this is a good choice for you.

I've driven about 5000 km on these tires and can say that they are quite decent winter tires. They are not noisy, handle winter roads well, do not hydroplane, braking is normal and they are sufficiently soft.

I'm very satisfied with the tire, it's soft, handles the road well, and performed excellently on snow drifts and wet snow, I'd give it a 5+ rating. There's virtually no noise, considering that the car has no sound insulation whatsoever. Therefore, I recommend it, taking into account that it's also the cheapest option available in the store.

For Niva Legend with standard tire size, the choice is very limited. I decided to try the products of the Nizhnekamsk Tire Plant. The model seems to be new, and I also hoped for improved quality. Visually, the tires look decent, with a modern-looking tread and a sufficient number of studs. In operation, I can only compare them to non-standard Pirelli tires that I used on a similar vehicle. They brake and handle quite adequately in winter conditions for such narrow tires. But! Out of 4 tires, all 4 are crooked! Balancing requires 150+ grams per wheel on new cast wheels. When driving, you can immediately feel the vibration. I hoped that this was due to storage and the tires would "settle in", but after a thousand kilometers, nothing changed, and I tried re-balancing - with the same result. I do not recommend buying them. Unless you have the opportunity to check and select straight tires from the start. They might be suitable for rural areas, but for driving on relatively even roads - no. Thank you for your attention.

Tires are curved Soviet crap. Nothing changes at this plant, each disc has from 120 to 150 grams of weights, it would be better to take Chinese ones, a little more expensive, but there are no problems with balancing.

The winter studded tire itself is not bad overall. Of course, it's not a Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9, but the grip on the road is quite good. I'm talking about the NIVA, so I can't say anything about its high-speed characteristics, but I haven't felt any skidding on snow or ice yet, i.e., for standard driving to a winter cottage, fishing, or hunting, it's a fairly good tire for its price, considering that some Chinese models are not much better, or maybe even worse, but more expensive.

However, there is one major drawback. At the tire shop, they were only able to more or less balance one wheel, and they didn't even try to balance the other three, saying "drive and see if the disks even out." But the disks turned out to be even, while the tire itself is not. The imbalance is around 280-300 grams per wheel. They said "drive a bit, maybe it'll settle down, and then try balancing again." That's what I'm doing for now. It's not particularly noticeable in the city, so I'm not in a hurry, but I'll definitely write about the result...

I haven't found any flaws yet, good tires, not noisy, although before buying I read the opposite in reviews, it just so happened that snow and ice started, but the tires didn't let me down even once, I'm happy with my choice

Despite different opinions on the quality of Kama Alga SUV 185/75/16 97T (studded) tires, I still chose them. The choice was likely due to the lack of the required amount of cash in my wallet. I ordered them from Mosavtoshina for 5810 rubles x 4 = 23240 rubles, waited for about three days, then picked them up and installed them there, at Mosavtoshina, Voronezh, Dubrovina St., 13/2. The balancing was within normal limits.

In addition, this tire model participates in the "Free tire mounting" promotion. And why not take advantage of it, 1840 rubles don't lie on the road. Now my Niva is on winter studded tires. I supported a domestic manufacturer. For a slow-moving Niva, for everyday driving, this is the best option in the factory-recommended size.
