Excellent tires. Snow and ice - perfect. Grip, like a tractor. Driven 15,000 km, one spike blew out. Also, do well on thawing road - handle slush and potholes nicely. On dry asphalt, a bit noisy, but this is due to the spikes. Main thing - JAPANESE quality, worthy of you at an affordable price. Highly recommend to everyone!)

I’m very happy with the traction, it’s really cool to drive the Spike on any road and in any weather. It's naturally better when winter has already set in and the frost has come, but it still navigates slush well. In frost you can really feel the full might of these tyres - both handling and responsiveness.

I bought this tire on sale for 5350r per set in mid-October, 2019. The model is not new, with the tire's production date being 2016. It was made in Japan. The tire is incredibly noisy, especially compared to the M+S Michelin Primacy 3 I had during the summer. Now it's like flying a plane ((it's so loud! As for the tread, I'm not sure yet, since it's still snow-free.

Excellent tires, ran one season, very satisfied. The car is heavy, but the tires hold the road firmly, I specifically chose Japanese production.

2016 JP. Installed in November 2018. Came in lubricated. Ridden about 2000km, of which 1000km was dry. After 2000km, the lubricant was no longer visible. Very noisy on dry asphalt. Excellent tire, far better than the 01 version, the studs are much better too. They added a "bagel" shape - it's slightly softer, noise level is the same.
However on the south studs are needed for 10 days throughout the winter, but they're worth it, how many times they saved me during those days!
Anyway, studs on asphalt are ice skates and this needs to be always remembered!
As the first version,

Noise, howl in the 80-100 km/h range.

There were many different tread patterns, but with this howl - these are the first ones.
The same Bridgestone 7000 is much quieter. I regret not buying that one and choosing these instead.
The studs are almost all still there, maybe five of them have been lost.
On ice, in snow, on dry asphalt, it's all predictable

Good tire. Performs well on ice and packed snow. Holds the road well on the highway. Noise level is within normal limits, not annoying. Just be cautious on fresh snow or snowpack with ice or asphalt beneath: longer stopping distance. Apparently, the tread gets quickly clogged with snow, which increases sliding and stopping distance. Otherwise, everything is great.

I just installed the Toyo and it's currently being broken in. The handling and braking on dry and wet asphalt are good. It's a bit noisy, but I'm sure after breaking it in it will be quieter. Overall, I'm pleased with it. We'll see how it performs on ice and snow.
