I bought the tires via Mosavtosina website in October 2018 for my 2013 model year Solarius car, with automatic transmission, to replace the old Spik-01 (purchased from the previous owner) with almost no remaining tread (5 seasons). I was selecting for a long time, carefully browsing online. Since this was my first winter season on these tires, I decided to take precautions. I started the season on the old tires, but as soon as the

I'm not knowledgeable about tires. Well, how can I put it, for me the main thing was that it was round and black :)

Initially, when choosing winter tires, I had two desires - more "aggressiveness" and more studs. What the tire composition was, who the manufacturer was, and so on - I didn't care. When I was considering this model, there were few reviews about it, and its older model had some drawbacks, which I no longer remember. However, in the small number of reviews about the Blizzak Spike-02, people said that the flaws of the older model had been fixed.

This model's tread pattern with a certain "herringbone" design and the abundance of studs across the entire surface of the tire were very appealing to me.

The cost of the tire at that time was 6000 rubles for a 235/45R17 size.

The last deciding factor in favor of this tire was the extended warranty from Bridgestone, which, by the way, came in very handy when my wife hit a very large pothole and got a non-repairable tear. And all this happened a month after purchasing and installing the tires. At first, of course, I was very upset and started blaming the quality of the tires, but realistically, no tire could have withstood that pothole.

By the way, the representatives of Bridgestone worked great, and without any questions, they sent a new tire through the service center. (Don't forget to register your warranty on their website).

I placed the order through Mosaftoshina, and the tires were fresh.

Now it's been three years, and it's finishing its third season. And after all this time, I can say one thing - it's 100% worth its money (even now with all the price increases).

I dug into the snow with it in the forest, almost up to the door sills. I drove on the highway with terrible snowstorms and spring slush with wet loose snow. I climbed a icy hill with fresh snow on it. I drove on openly very bad roads, after which I thought that the tires would definitely get damaged. I drove where many others were already stuck and couldn't move. It drives. It grips with all its might in both snowy slush and on bare ice. And it brakes just as well. Not once or twice, it confidently handled emergency situations on the road, both in terms of braking and emergency maneuvering.

Separately, regarding wear and studs. Wear over three seasons - around 10-12%. Loss of studs, of course, is present, but the studs started to leave the tire only now (in the third season). And it's not a complete loss of studs, but 2-3 studs per tire.

Each person will make their own conclusions, but I think I was incredibly lucky with the tires. Every time I take them off and store them for the summer - I wait for the worst (well, that's just our nature). But the tires don't stop surprising me with their almost ideal condition.

Tires have only one downside - road noise without snow. This winter has been relatively snow-free and not very cold so far. But when there was a lot of snow or ice, the tires showed a fantastic result! They keep the car steady in turns, even at high speed, on a road covered with 3-4 cm of snow, and they move confidently. When starting from a standstill, they don't slip into a skid. And this noise, compared to all their other

The fourth season has passed, the flight is normal, the studs are almost fully intact on all wheels. In terms of wear, they are like new to me))) Although I don't drive that little, it seems. Bridgestone did not fail, I am satisfied with their stable behavior, regardless of the weather, road quality, etc. The ride is soft, they confidently hold the trajectory on a straight line, even with a rut (not uncommon in winter and icy). On ice, they steer and brake completely predictably. Good cross-country ability in snow. In hot weather, they don't aquaplane on streams from melting snow, on clean asphalt you can hear the studs, but there's nothing to be done, they are there, after all).

    Here's the translation:

These tires! After two seasons, I've tried everything. The result: perfect traction on ice, thanks to the studs, in deep snow, it really hauls like a tractor, and on dry asphalt, it drives like all others - perfectly. I didn't get used to driving in slush right away, but as I got to know how the car would behave, it was no longer a surprise. The car is maneuverable on any road, I feel at ease

I bought the tires in October 2019. My car is a Renault Megane 2 hatchback and I drive in the Murmansk region, where it snows heavily and for 9 months of the year. I gained experience with them after 70,000 km of driving. They perform well on snow at 120 km/h. They already work well on ice at 90 km/h, which is enough for stability. They are more challenging with slush, and there is a

Good tires for their money, the tires are best suited for snowy cities where there is a lot of snow and it is poorly cleaned, in loose snow they show themselves well, they are noisy on asphalt, especially when you just changed tires from summer to winter, like you're on an airplane, a very thick sidewall, that's why I bought it because we have a problem with roads in Samara, before this tire I drove on GoodYear Ultra Grip, in half a year I had four sidewall cuts, two tires were thrown away, so I wanted a stronger tire, even at the expense of comfort, so that I wouldn't think about where the nearest tire shop is after every pothole

A little about the background: 15 years of experience, had the chance to drive on front, full, and rear-wheel drive. I've had experience with Michelin (3rd), Hakkapeliitta 8 and 9, Pirelli, and I've always been satisfied with the tires. I took the Bridgestone Blizzak 3 for a rear-wheel drive Japanese car - for a weekend car. And, to put it mildly, I was strongly surprised at how bad it seemed. Wheel spin, lack of acceleration, lack of normal brakes. I drove for a season, didn't write a review on purpose, and in the new season, I changed the tires to Hankook Spike RS2, after driving on the old ones for a day, and what? I once again confirmed how bad the Bridgestone is, and the Hankook is a completely different story.

Further on reliability - after driving about 10 thousand kilometers, no more, the studs on my rear wheels started to fall out. You can, of course, object that the author of the post is a rear-wheel drive driver who didn't drive normally, but I dare to object, on other tires, I didn't have any studs falling out, and they lasted for 5-6 seasons (about 50 thousand kilometers). Moreover, when driving aggressively, I emphasize that on the Bridgestone, holes/ cavities can form on the tire where the stud is located. I don't remember having such problems with other tires.

Add to that, look at normal reviews with time attack or drift tests. Everyone says that the tire is bad. Don't be fooled by the brand. It's a really bad model. Don't be fooled by the large tungsten stud. Yes, it's sturdy and won't break, but what's the point if it doesn't grip and comes off?

    And the tire is noisy...

The only advantage of the tire is its price and sturdy sidewall. But even that, it seems better to take a modern Chinese tire - it's cheaper and better. Another observation: I think that if you put it on a rear-wheel drive car, the car becomes overly sensitive, because due to the high rolling resistance, the front wheel is harder to turn than the same Hankook, as a result, when drifting, it's harder to catch the car (the front wheels brake, the rear wheels don't grip, and the drift develops quickly).

Who can install it: a pensioner (behavior) on a four-wheel drive like a RAV4 with a variator or any other SUV that keeps a good distance to the car in front, or for use in a deep snowy province. For everyone else, it's better to avoid it.

In terms of handling and grip on winter roads, everything is fine, but the noise made by this tire is something else. I thought it would wear in after a couple of thousand kilometers, but no, when driving over 80 km/h, my ears were plugged, the hum is unreal.

I brought a Daihatsu Mucous from an auction in Japan in October last year, of course, there were no winter tires in the set, and they have eternal summer there with heated roads... I had to quickly find 205/60 R16 wheels in Ufa. The seller was a shot sparrow, who immediately advised me to install Bridgestones if I was planning to drive to Moscow (and I, of course, was planning to, just for the sake of it I
