Tyre reviews Bridgestone Blizzak LM005. Page 3 263

On dry asphalt, it's like driving on summer tires, and on ice, it's also like driving on summer tires. It loses traction on ice predictably, of course, but severely even at very low speeds. On loose snow, it grips normally, on compacted snow, it's slightly better than on ice. On dirt roads, it's average, it doesn't get stuck in mud, but it also doesn't handle it very well. Rain, puddles - it doesn't care at all.
The sidewall (shoulder) of the tread is already all battered, and it's only been two months. It didn't live up to my expectations (as it did in tests, always in first place), if there were more snowy days, I would have definitely gotten rid of it. Last season I drove on Pirelli Ice Zero FR and Hankook i2, I can't say that the LM005 is fundamentally better in overall performance, and it's definitely worse on ice than Pirelli.
Maybe it performs better in colder conditions, I haven't tried it and I don't want to anymore.

I prefer studded tires. Last year, I chose the LM005 - they performed excellently on snow and ice, and on asphalt, it was like driving in the summer. They are not prone to aquaplaning, allowing for a calm ride in both rain and snowfall. The tires are indeed quiet and comfortable.

Over 2 seasons, I've tested these tires on all winter roads - from freshly fallen snow to ice. What can I say: they handle asphalt and snow clearly, with even the slightest braking, the car responds immediately. On slippery roads, they are also obedient, but in this case, hardly any tire is 100% stable. My expectations were met, over 2 years they never let me down.

For a warm winter, it's top-notch. Wet snow, cuts through ruts with ease. Not noisy, sidewall is moderately soft.

Nowadays we get winters like this, so studs aren't even needed. I decided to try these studs. New ones, no one used them) I love it) It's well-balanced, almost without load. It holds the road well, rolls smoothly and quietly. Now imagine, I drove on them at 0 and around -5. I wake up in the morning, there's about 5 cm of snow, and -15, I thought I'd have to get studs in the

For dynamic driving - excellent. The road is better felt than on many summer tires. Wear resistance is at a high level. If the roads are cleaned in winter, then take them without hesitation. On snow and ice when starting to move, sometimes there is a lack of grip, but the behavior is quite adequate and predictable. Also, on a slippery road, at high speed, you feel more confident than when starting. Maybe this is how the stability control system works, I don't know.

Don't be fooled by the description - these are summer and all-season tires, it's categorically dangerous to drive on them in winter! They stop holding the road at -10 degrees, on "ice mirrors" of asphalt, the car behaves like a horse on ice. Accelerating on the highway can lead to skidding and going into a ditch. I drove all winter 2025-2026

I purchased tires at Mosavtoshina for the first time. They were delivered according to the schedule. Very decent tires! Soft and quiet! Quieter than Michelin PS4 summer tires. I recommend! I haven't had a chance to try them in the snow yet. The price is the most advantageous among all competitors.

I like the tire, but at low temperatures -10 and below, it handles very poorly when the road is icy underneath and has a layer of snow on top
