Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin Reggae
The Michelin Reggae summer motorcycle tire has a somewhat unusual area of application. This model is designed for a wide range of scooter equipment, the operation of which is often associated with movement on rough terrain. I.e. this tire is dual-purpose, equally well suited for both paved and unpaved roads. This feature is reflected in a number of design features, which will be discussed below.
Aggressive V-shaped tread pattern
This model looks like a miniature off-road tire. Like them, it is equipped with an aggressive tread pattern with a pronounced V-shaped design. Its distinctive feature is the presence of many gripping edges formed by massive blocks.
Excellent cross-country performance
If you look closely at the tread pattern, you immediately notice the original scheme of block arrangement. They are composed into many transverse rows, thanks to which the contact patch of the Michelin Reggae tire has gripping edges with a characteristic Michelin off-road model bend. Due to this, the tire, when overcoming complex sections, does not sink into the ground, but bounces off it, which significantly increases the cross-country performance.
Special rubber compound composition
Since the tire was initially designed, among other things, for intensive use outside of hard-surfaced roads, certain changes were made to the composition of the rubber compound. Thanks to new components, the French tire makers were able to significantly increase the strength of the tread on rupture, as well as resistance to punctures, cuts, and abrasive wear. These properties had a most favorable effect on the reliability and durability of this tire.
Main features of Michelin Reggae
- dual purpose - the tire is equally well suited for intensive use on both paved and unpaved roads;
- optimized V-shaped tread pattern provides excellent grip on any type of surface;
- a multitude of individual blocks forms an endless number of gripping edges, allowing the tire to demonstrate confident behavior on slippery surfaces;
- a large number of transverse rows with a curved edge provides excellent cross-country performance.
