The spacious Peugeot 406 car was produced by the French manufacturer from 1995 to 2004. It was presented in several body variants - sedan, wagon, coupe. Restyling

In 1999, the company modernized the Peugeot 406. As a result, the design was reworked with the replacement of optics, bumpers, and radiator grille. The salon also underwent changes, as well as the suspension settings. The next stage came in 2003. It affected more of the transport's appearance, adding a number of chrome elements to it.

Power units

The installed engines differed in the width of their variability. So, at the very beginning, among the gasoline engines, only one 1.6-liter engine was presented, which was inherited from the old 405 model. Due to its small power, it was replaced by a 1.8-liter engine. Over time, 2-liter engines with 8 and 16 valves also appeared in the line. More capacious engines of 2.2 and 2.9 liters were also installed, but this is already in later versions.

As for the "diesels", they were initially represented by 1.9 and 2.1 liters. After restyling, they were replaced by 2.0 and 2.2 liters. All of them were equipped with turbines.
