One of them was a touchscreen, as well as the presence of "Android Auto" and "Apple CarPlay" in the multimedia system.

In 2019, a new generation was presented, based on the universal CMP platform. Thanks to the latter, it was possible to further reduce the weight of the car while maintaining its overall dimensions. The cabin features a fully digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen display, through which the main systems are controlled. Among the latter, it is possible to distinguish adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring, parking assistance, and others. All this had a positive impact on the level of safety and overall comfort.

The engine range also remained the same, from 1 to 1.6 liters, only all power units were modified with an increase in power parameters.

Electric vehicle

Along with the classic versions running on diesel and gasoline, the manufacturer presented a car on electric traction. It is noteworthy that this version is based on the same platform as all other 208, and does not have a separate one, as it was with Volkswagen and other companies. This approach allowed to reduce the production costs of the electric version and offer it at a more favorable price. Thanks to a 50 kW battery, the hatchback can travel up to 340 km on a single charge. This is quite good for urban use, which made the car quite popular.
