The driver's seat can be slid within a range of 540 mm, pushing it back towards the rear row, allowing for any urgent manipulations with the child sitting in the back. In this position, the automatic transmission's Drive mode lock is activated, which must be put into "parking" mode before sliding the seat.

In terms of technology, the vehicle stands out for its use of the modular DNGA platform, which is one of the variations of the TNGA, the global "cart" development of Toyota, designed for compact passenger cars of the Japanese concern. It is characterized by the widespread use of high-strength steel and optimized architecture, which has increased the body's rigidity by a third and reduced the vehicle's weight by 40 kg. Compared to its predecessor, the floor level in the salon has been lowered by 16 mm. The new platform has also made it possible to significantly expand the equipment, mainly due to modern electronic systems. In particular, the package includes an automatic parking system and adaptive cruise control, which can slow down without driver intervention, depending on the distance to the vehicle in front. Another feature of the model is the use of 3-cylinder engines of the KF family, which have undergone a modernization cycle. The engines still have a volume of 660 "cubes", but at the same time, friction losses have been reduced, and the spark plugs ignite the fuel-air mixture twice, at the end of the compression stroke, optimizing the combustion process. As before, both the "atmospheric" 52-horsepower version and the turbocharged version, which develops the maximum 64 hp allowed by Japanese law, are available. Both power units work in tandem with the new D-CVT variator. Its design is largely borrowed from Toyota's Direct Shift with a mechanical 1st gear. In this case, the mechanical gear is the overdrive gear, which is activated by the electronics when the speed reaches 60 km/h, reducing fuel consumption. The vehicle starts and accelerates using only the "variator" part, effectively using the traction capabilities of the engine with a very modest working volume.
