Шины на Daihatsu Move (Даихатсу)

The Daihatsu Move is a classic Japanese "kei car" designed for use on very narrow city streets. The car was produced from 1995 to 2023, after which it was discontinued and replaced by the second-generation Move Canbus, which became a bestseller on the Japanese market in the early 2020s.

Early Versions

The car owes its appearance to the good sales of the Suzuki Wagon R in 1993, from which this model borrowed the concept of use. The design was developed by the Italian studio I.DE.A Institute. Its characteristic features were preserved throughout the life cycle of the car. In the first generation, it was technically close to the subcompact Mira, borrowing its platform and most mechanical components. To a large extent, their choice was limited by Japanese legislation, which is why, in particular, the hatchback received 0.6-liter engines with a power of up to 64 horsepower, which were combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-range "automatic". The base versions were front-wheel drive, while the more equipped ones offered four-wheel drive with a clutch on the rear axle. In this form, the car existed until 2006, when the fourth-generation model was introduced.

Fourth Generation

By the early 2000s, the "boxy" design had finally become outdated, which is why in 2006, a car with a thoroughly revised exterior debuted, which, nevertheless, preserved the characteristic features of its predecessor. First and foremost, this was the C-shaped form of the rear pillar and the wheels positioned at the corners of the body. The new design made it possible to significantly reduce aerodynamic resistance, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce noise at high speeds. In technical terms, the car stood out for its engines, including a 600 cubic centimeter 3-cylinder power unit in two versions - "atmospheric" and turbocharged. Both engines were combined with a variator, a 5-speed "mechanics", and a 4-range "automatic". During the 10 subsequent years of serial production, the car was modified several times, but most of the changes were minor.

Sixth Generation

The next significant update followed in 2014. The car changed its platform, which increased the body's stiffness during bending and torsion, reducing weight. The suspension changed noticeably, with different settings. The equipment with electronic systems expanded significantly. In particular, the driver gained the ability to change the engine and transmission modes depending on road conditions. A key innovation in the salon was the appearance of a multimedia system with a touch screen in expensive versions; in the "base" version, the car still had a plastic plug on the front console, which was intended to allow dealers to install an audio system themselves. From 2016, the hatchback began to be equipped with a complex of electronic assistants Smart Assist III with cameras positioned at the corners of the windshield, through which road marking monitoring, automatic braking, and switching between low and high beam were carried out. The system was also distinguished by an extremely wide range of action - from 4 to 100 km/h. The standard equipment for this model includes small-diameter tires, which, along with other wheel products, form the basis of the assortment in the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
