Tyre reviews Maxxis AT-771 Bravo. Страница 2 686

Excellent tires for city driving and hunting trips, as well as moderate off-road adventures.
I thought for a long time about whether to get AT or not, there are many conflicting reviews. In the summer, I drove on Dunlop ST30, and I decided to switch to Maxxis 771. I will describe my feelings: the car did not become wobbly, it just became softer, and bumps and potholes on the asphalt almost disappeared, even if you drive onto the shoulder at 70 km/h, nothing changes. The handling was not much affected, but if you enter a sharp turn well and exit on the gas, the unloaded front wheel skids. It handles puddles well. On a wet road, it stands confidently, there is no hydroplaning, and it confidently passes through puddles, although if you drive into a deep puddle, splashes fly onto the windshield.
There is no increase in noise, no howling or humming as people write. The fuel consumption is not yet clear.
Off-road, there is a huge plus in terms of passability - I drove to those places without any drama, where I didn't even think of going on ST30.
I think this is the ideal option for our roads, but for those who live in the center of Moscow and drive within the 3rd transport ring, without going off-road, there is no point.
A huge plus is the appearance, although I think the white lettering will fade quickly, I will touch it up, I really like it.
As for the size, it's not entirely clear, I think they are oversized - I took 235/65/R17, and at first, I wanted 245/65/R17, ordinary tires 245 fit and many RAV4 owners install them. But the Maxxis 235 is almost the same size as the calculated 245, the gap to the fenders is 11mm, and I think the 245 Maxxis would simply touch the fenders with a small turn.

Comparing it to the standard Yokohama Geolandar G91, I'll try to leave an honest review. I bought these tires deliberately, as I often drive on dirt roads, go mushroom picking, fishing, etc. I'll say right away that if you're 80% on asphalt, these tires aren't for you. Also, these tires aren't for racing, but for a comfortable ride at speeds up to 120 km/h. In comparison to the Yokohama, these

I've managed to drive about 500 km (dry asphalt, rain, black ice, and snowstorm with snowdrifts). The tire is good (when warm), it holds the road, doesn't drift in turns (it would be strange to expect anything else from tires of any price category, of course). It's barely audible. Due to the sudden onset of winter, I had a chance to try it on a frozen road. It handles snow perfectly, but on ice, it's like a cow, of course. On a frozen highway, it's slippery and unmanageable. But that's all, generally speaking, it's expected. Overall, I'm satisfied with the wheels, I was worried that it would be worse than the 15th Geolander, but no, so far the feeling is the same.

I will update my review after selling the car. Total mileage on the tires is over 50,000km. Wear is not significant (at least, not visible to the naked eye) - much less than 50%. Regular fishing trips - sand, gravel, dirt roads, handles perfectly. In turns at high speed (quite a big turn) whistles and tries to pull to the outer radius, but the tire is not meant for this. Never drove on snow and ice (have a mouse

225/60/17 - mileage 40% on gravel-dirt roads - so far so good, on the highway up to 170km/h it holds the road confidently, noise level - within normal limits, in my understanding. Aquaplaning can be said to be absent, even at speeds under 100 on good puddles, in turns at speed without squealing and skidding, to be honest, I didn't expect this from AT tires, especially since the native size is 225/55. There is something to compare with: by feeling on dry asphalt, like Toyo Proxces T1R. It doesn't grip in mud, but I think that if there is a need, it will definitely show itself much better than any highway tire. The golden mean for a crossover with four-wheel drive - essentially a direct competitor to Bridg 001, the only thing that the cost now, of course, does not please.

I spent a lot of time and effort researching reviews about these tires before making a purchase, and I must say I'm 100% satisfied with them. As a daily tire for off-road driving, they are an excellent choice. The tire is soft and quiet on the road, but when entering a puddle, the water splashes up to the roof. Any forests, fields, hunting, or fishing trips – I didn't get stuck anywhere. My friends who were on tractors were amazed at

Excellent tires for this price. Grippy, soft, comfortable and fuel-efficient tires. Holds the road perfectly in both dry and rainy conditions, doesn't smear on off-road - good self-cleaning. Exploited to the first snow and frost, stayed very satisfied with the tire. Behaved perfectly on snow and ice, everything is predictable and adequate. Honestly, didn't even want to change, but family insisted. As for the noise, I can say that for AT tyres, it's quiet

The tire was bought as a replacement for a work vehicle, so it wasn’t treated with much care and was not pampered. We drive a combined total of around 70,000 to 80,000 km per year, and this one has just hit 60,000 km with 20% tread life left, which speaks to its durability. The tire was inspected on a hoist and there are no cracks, despite driving over some decent potholes and not even bending the wheel,

Quiet tires, soft, hold the road well, behave well in shallow mud. Compared to Bridgestone Dueler, they are simply excellent.

Haven't driven much, but the impressions are mostly positive, the car is like a tram on soft wheels, it holds the course perfectly, it doesn't wander in the rut, it doesn't notice water, the noise is just a rustling, and that's if you listen closely. The main test is still ahead - haven't been on bad dirt yet, but so far - everything is great.
