The Nankang NS2R Sportnex summer tire is the result of close collaboration between the renowned Taiwanese tire manufacturer and Japanese drifting specialists. I.e., this model is designed exclusively for racing and drifting. According to the manufacturer, the primary target audience for this tire is "connoisseurs of precise handling". Currently, the size range is represented by only five types for wheels with a mounting diameter from 15 to 18 inches. However, the manufacturer plans to significantly expand the offered range in the future.

Optimized V-shaped tread pattern design

One of the characteristic features of this model is the increased contact patch area, which is 13% larger compared to a regular tire. Such a significant increase was achieved by completely abandoning tread blocks. The Nankang NS2R tread pattern consists of two longitudinal ribs located in the central part and two shoulder zones that occupy almost half of the tread area.

High resistance to uneven wear

Considering the specifics of operation, the company's specialists tried to maximize the tire's resistance to dynamic deformations caused by lateral acceleration forces. That's why the design of the shoulder zones of the tread is designed to give this part of the tread maximum stiffness. As a result of such technical refinements, not only the increased resistance to uneven wear was achieved, but also excellent stability when cornering. In addition, the shoulder zones of the tread are equipped with special grooves that contribute to a more even distribution of load across the contact patch, which also had a positive effect on the tire's durability.
