Bridgestone Blizzak LM30 is equipped with a tread having an asymmetric design, divided into several separate functional zones. Its outer side contains massive blocks distributed over two very wide longitudinal ribs. It is on them that the tire relies when turning, demonstrating excellent directional stability and very stable traction properties. During acceleration and braking, the blocks on the outer side of the tread provide excellent performance in the form of excellent longitudinal traction characteristics. In turn, the inner side of the tread improves traction on snow, while reducing rolling resistance and noise level.

Excellent ice traction without spikes

In addition to the porous rubber mixture, traction on icy roads is provided by several thousand sharp edges. The vast majority of them are formed not by blocks, but by wavy lamellas cut through the entire depth of the tread. They are located at different angles, which gives the ice traction even greater stability. At the same time, the wavy shape of the lamella walls increases the rigidity of the blocks in the transverse direction, which has a positive effect on handling and the speed and clarity of the tire's reactions to steering wheel turns.
