Tyre reviews Gislaved Ultracontrol. Page 2 114

Why did I choose Ultracontrol? I wanted a comfortable ride in the city without excessive stiffness, so I wouldn't feel every small pothole under the wheels. Colleagues advised me to take a closer look at Gislaved. So I bought them.
I immediately noticed that at low speeds, the tires run quietly, unevenness passes softly, without any unpleasant jerks. On the highway at 100-110 km/h, the car holds stable, the steering wheel stays straight, and it's easy and pleasant to handle. In the rain, the traction is excellent, I even stopped worrying when making emergency stops - somehow I became more confident. As for noise, everything is fine, it's only audible on old asphalt, but it's not critical and you quickly get used to it. Over the season, I drove approximately 5600 km - the wear was evenly distributed, the tires look decent.

Before purchasing Terracontrol, I compared several options, focusing on reviews and technical specifications.
On the highway at a speed of 120 km/h, the car moves stably, without requiring constant course correction. In urban conditions, the noise level was lower than expected. The tires handle small bumps well: there is no shaking in the cabin, and the steering wheel remains stable.
On dirt roads, the behavior is predictable - there are no skids, the car adequately responds to turns. The total mileage on these tires is around 6000 km. Wear is almost imperceptible, the tread has retained its shape. On very rough asphalt, a slight hum appears, but it does not create discomfort.

Ordinary wheels for everyday use. In the city, all joints and irregularities pass smoothly, braking is clear. In the track, it seemed that the steering wheel was slightly pulled. But it's nice to drive.

I drive mainly in the city: it doesn't float in puddles, on a straight road everything is fine, only small potholes are felt a bit sharper than I expected.

Tires are like tires, brake well, don't grind at start. The tread looks nice externally. It seemed that in the groove on the ring it fishbones slightly, but extremely rarely.

Excellent summer tires, in the rain they cut through water like that. In a rut, the steering wheel doesn't jerk. A bit stiff on speed bumps, but there are no bulges.

I've been driving on Ultracontrol since last year. I liked the handling - at speed, the car doesn't sway. They brake effectively, even in the rain. A bit stiffer than my old tires, but in return, the turns are passed confidently. Noise level is average, you don't need to shout over the music in the cabin. Balancing after purchase is normal, minimal loads. Good, quality wheels.

I recently purchased a set of these tires to replace my old Continentals. I can say definitively that I'm pleased with the tires. I've driven on both dry and wet roads, and even through puddles at speed. The tire performs wonderfully. I didn't notice any aquaplaning at speed in heavy rain or through puddles. What I particularly liked was that the tires are very quiet, even compared to my old Continental Ultra Contact 5. I'm very satisfied with the purchase and I recommend them. I bought them on my brother's advice and I don't regret it. My old tires lasted 7 years, we'll see how long these ones last. The balancing was no more than 20-30 grams per wheel.

Unexpectedly pleasant set - both in terms of comfort and handling. Immediately after installation, I noticed how much the steering "improved". The elasticity of the sidewall provides a dense contact with the asphalt, and the car feels more collected. In traffic jams - comfort, when accelerating from a standstill - no wheelspin. On the highway, I drove up to 130 - without tension, the tire holds the straight line perfectly. I drove both on the ring road and in a private sector with gravel - everywhere sticky and predictable. The tire confidently holds on turns, there is no roll, even if you slightly overdo it with speed. In the rain - no aquaplaning.
