Tyre reviews Bridgestone Potenza Sport. Page 1 111

I got a tire recommendation from acquaintances and friends. Three people bought them and were very satisfied. I chose them after a long comparison and consideration, and finally stopped at Bridgestone.
So, what do we have: size 265/35 R18. The grip is excellent, it literally clings to the asphalt, both dry and wet, with no difference. Not a single stability system trigger. When starting sharply from a standstill (pedal to the floor, rear-wheel drive, 280 horsepower), there is no hint of rear axle slip. The tire literally bites into the road, handles perfectly in the rain, and does not catch aquaplaning. Of course, if you adequately understand where it's not worth speeding :)
I don't notice any noise from it. For example, the same Yokohama Advan Sport, which I drove for 3 seasons, was much noisier and stiffer. Bridgestone tires are not soft, but not stone-hard either. Excellent balance of comfort and sporty behavior. I can't say anything about wear, as I've only driven a little so far.
In summary, I can say that I'm not disappointed, the price/quality ratio is corresponding, all the specified characteristics are justified, and I'm 100% satisfied.

I bought a new M5 F90.
The car came with Pirelli tires. This tire is very specific, so I decided to change it immediately. I spent a long time choosing and studying information about the tire, and I decided to take a risk. As a result, this tire became a discovery for me in 2022.
I was choosing between Continental 7 and Michelin PS4S.
The Continental has low wear resistance, 240, and as a consequence, a higher level of comfort. The Michelin is noisy and has a low threshold of grip qualities at temperatures below +8, it frankly needs to be warmed up.
So, the Bridgestone is the golden mean between these two tires, plus a thick sidewall, 9.6 mm versus 6 mm of Michelin, and a layer of real aramid, which the competitors do not have. In my size, 285/30/21, the strength of the tire is very important, and Bridgestone provides the most durable product.

Audi A4 2009 quattro 2.0 TFSI. Tires 225/45 R17. Disk offset 42.
I was worried that the tire would be stiff! In vain, the tire is soft enough, I hardly felt any difference (previously I had Chinese Triangle tires).
SO! The car finally STARTED TO MOVE! Powerfully, comfortably. My driving style has changed. The tire motivates for dynamic driving. Great acceleration. I don't feel the rut (but this is rather a question of the diameter and offset of the disk). Economical (after a mileage of 600+ km, the consumption decreased). There was little rain. I'm satisfied with the behavior in the rain. But I still need to test it.
I'm very pleased with the tire. I recommend it. Thanks to the store and managers.

I bought tires as a replacement for the standard RunFlat, since the low profile, I chose a brand with hard sidewalls, the choice fell on Bridgstone, a set of different widths. The set for the front axle is from the Hungarian factory, the set for the rear axle is from the Polish factory, the tires are new, the last weeks of 2022 production, after installation on the car, the behavior changed dramatically, I stopped feeling the clutch, it swallows bumps more softly, however, I noticed vibrations from the road surface on the steering wheel, after a run-in of 500 km, I decided to do wheel balancing and the tire fitters pointed out that two front tires have radial runout, while the disc is even, according to the tire fitters, such a defect is becoming more common and if the tire profile is high, the problem goes away after the run-in. Now I'm trying to run them in some more, I slightly lowered the pressure in the tires

Over the past few years, I've tried a number of different tires: ContiSportContact5P, PilotSport4S, Ventus S1Evo3, HakkaBlack2, and others. I haven't purchased Bridgestone in 8 years, although I did like the Potenza S001 at the time.
I decided to give it another try and I was pleased. The tire is very interesting, I would call it a mid-range tire, but not in the sense of being unremarkable, but in the sense of being balanced. The directional stability is excellent, the tendency to follow road grooves is not pronounced, it handles well in the rain, the noise level is average, it's not too soft and not too hard.
The only thing is, we'll see how long it lasts, as I stopped buying Continental SportContact because the tire only lasts for 15-20 thousand kilometers, which I think is excessive.

Tires from 2021. Current mileage is around 10-12 thousand kilometers. Made in Poland. As of June 2024, the tires have cracked, which clearly indicates poor quality of the mixture and poor quality control at the Polish factory. I'm no longer sure if it's safe to drive on them. Unfortunately, I couldn't attach a photo. Don't ever buy from Poland.

The tire is heavy, it's felt immediately, quite stiff, at a speed of 200 km/h, excellent grip with the road, the same as at 50 km/h, the noise level is average, not annoying, maneuverability on dry pavement is excellent, without any hints of skidding, the car doesn't float or tilt in turns, it's almost impossible to make it wheelspin at "start", braking is excellent.

On the X5 and standard wheels, it's unstable on the road. No advantages
On the 7er and larger wheels, it's an excellent tire that holds the road very well- Vehicle:

The emergence of this novelty coincided with the moment when I needed to change the tires. I haven't had Bridgestone for a long time (the last tire was from Michelin), so I decided to try these + the consultant advised me to take them, since an optimized composition of the rubber mixture is used in this tire. The word "aramid" is even indicated on the tire itself ??? definitely, a feature. I've driven a bit so far, but I like the feelings from the tires. Powerful, but comfortable. Very good for intensive use

Excellent tires, I chose between Michelin and Bridgestone for a long time. On rainy days, it handles the road very well. From a standstill, with a sharp start, it provides good traction. Someone wrote on Drive that they wear out quickly - well, time will tell) In general, I'm very satisfied
