Bridgestone increases production in India
05 february 2010
The Indian representation of the Japanese company Bridgestone is expanding its production in India.
An investment of $37 million is expected in the near future for the construction of a plant in the state of Gujarat. The plant plans to produce truck tires and bus tires, as analysts predict that these two markets will continue to grow despite the crisis.
Production facilities are scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2011. The expected number of personnel at the plant is around 200 people, who will produce around 400 tires per day.
Currently, a large number of automobile highways and roads are being built in India, and the number of vehicles is increasing. The number of trucks in India is also steadily growing, driven by the country's economic growth.
