The WestLake Su317 summer tire is positioned by the manufacturer as a tire for everyday use on any asphalt roads. It is characterized by an increased level of comfort, including a smooth ride, simplicity in handling and stability, both when driving straight and when maneuvering, along with a quiet and smooth ride.

The tread pattern is a combination of numerous blocks. In the central part, the elements are connected by bridges, forming a continuous longitudinal rib. With its help, rolling resistance is reduced, the process of abrasive wear of the tread is slowed down, more accurate handling and course stability at high speed are provided. The presence of numerous blocks in the pattern allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction properties on wet pavement. This is complemented by a large number of lamellae that form additional sharpened edges, which further increases the effectiveness of the tread in such conditions. Another feature of the tire is the profile of its tread. It has an optimized curvature almost throughout its area, which expands the contact patch, improving traction and handling. These properties are further enhanced by the trapezoidal profile of the shoulder blocks, which increases their resistance to deformation. This feature also provides a low tendency of the tire to uneven wear, which increases its mileage.
