The summer passenger tire Toyo Proxes T1A owes its appearance to the existence of powerful sports sedans and coupes, the maximum speed of which exceeds 250 km/h. This model, like all other representatives of the Proxes line, belongs to the Ultra High Performance category, providing an incredible level of safety when driving at very high speeds. Such high technical and operational characteristics were achieved due to the widespread use of modern technologies.

Asymmetrical design of the directional tread pattern

Since the Japanese tire makers were required to give the Toyo Proxes T1A model maximum performance in any weather and road conditions, it's no surprise that they decided to equip it with a tread pattern with an asymmetrical arrangement of individual elements. At the same time, it was divided into two main functional zones, the outer of which provides stability when cornering, and the inner - traction on the road when driving straight.

It is precisely because of the functional purpose that the outer and inner sides of the tread pattern differ significantly from each other, both in terms of the area occupied and design features. The outer functional zone contains three longitudinal ribs, and its counterpart on the opposite side contains only two tread ribs.

Speaking about design features, it is impossible not to mention the presence of a composite longitudinal rib on the inner side of the tread, divided into two unequal parts. One of them contains a large number of notches that form additional traction edges during movement, as well as performing drainage functions. The second "half" does not contain any individual elements, representing a solid structural element. Its purpose is to provide fast and very accurate reactions of the tire to steering wheel turns.
