Among them, a 1.2-liter engine with 64 horsepower. It is with this engine that many negative reviews are associated, which criticized the manufacturer for such a low-power power unit. In 2010, when a small restyling was carried out, a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with a turbocharger appeared. Its main advantage was high fuel economy.
The car's suspension is represented by a MacPherson construction at the front and a semi-independent spring system at the rear. Moderately soft, it provided good cargo capacity and steering accuracy.
It is noteworthy that some external elements were taken from the "Fabia", while the instrument panel, steering wheel, and a number of other components migrated from the "Octavia". Thanks to this, the manufacturer could offer the car at a more favorable price. And maintenance was significantly cheaper.
Among the undeniable advantages of the model, one could include its high ability to transform. We are talking about the possibility of shifting and folding the rear row of seats to form a larger trunk volume. The latter could be 1780 liters with the seats fully folded. Thanks to this, the car could act as both a cargo and passenger vehicle.
Revival Attempts
In 2015, there was information about the preparation of a new generation of "Roomster". But, having released a small batch (only 100 copies), the company came to the conclusion about the inexpediency of further work on the model. Therefore, it was announced about its termination.As for the Russian sector, the car did not "take root" with us. A total of just over 10 thousand copies were sold in the country.
