The German company Fulda was founded over 100 years ago and was named after the city where it was located. In the 1960s, the firm became part of Goodyear, one of the largest tire holdings in the world. Upon acquisition, the firm retained its independence and is currently one of the leading German manufacturers of tire products. The company's staff consists of around 1800 people, and annual production volumes reach 8 million tires, which are supplied to 28 European countries.
Under this brand, a maximum range of passenger tires is produced. All of them are distributed across the following categories:
- for passenger cars;
- for SUVs and crossovers;
- for commercial vehicles of small capacity.
Tires of the German brand for passenger cars are distributed across two lines. EcoControl is designed for everyday use, featuring balanced operating properties. Among them, particularly noteworthy are the reduced rolling resistance, resistance to abrasive wear, for which an optimized tread pattern, synthetic carcass, and special wear-resistant rubber compound that reduces heat generation in the tire are used. The SportControl line is characterized by increased precision in handling and stability at high speeds, both on dry and wet surfaces. Accordingly, these models are designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars.
Tires for four-wheel drive vehicles are also represented in two lines. EcoControl SUV consists of models in the High Terrain category and is designed for use mainly in crossovers, featuring the highest efficiency on asphalt roads. Such tires demonstrate increased fuel efficiency, extended service life, and balanced traction and handling characteristics. 4Х4 Road is also designed for crossovers, belongs to the High Terrain category, and is designed for asphalt. However, due to the use of a tread pattern with an increased number of grooves and lamellas, it features improved traction properties on wet surfaces. Additionally, a more elastic rubber compound is used, which makes the tire's ride softer and increases the tire's performance in rainy conditions.
In the commercial tire segment, Fulda is represented by the Conveo Tour line, consisting of tires for light trucks, vans, minibuses, and minivans. These models are favorably distinguished by their pronounced fuel-saving properties, increased strength and carrying capacity, and improved traction properties on wet surfaces. Additionally, a rubber compound most resistant to abrasive wear is used here, which increases the tire's mileage.
