Description Fulda Kristall Iglu
The marketers at Fulda made a very fortunate choice in naming their winter model Kristall Iglu. The first word evokes associations in customers with a popular and successful tire of the previous generation, and the second - with harsh winter. It is for such climatic conditions that it was developed, demonstrating excellent traction on snowy and icy roads.
Reliable behavior in adverse weather conditions
This model is equipped with a typical modern winter tire tread with a V-shaped design. It is characterized by the presence of a large number of transverse drainage grooves, most of which are located at a sharp angle and against the direction of movement. In combination with a significant internal volume, this allows for successful removal of water and heavy snow masses from the contact patch. In the latter case, it is impossible not to mention the beveled edges of the tread blocks, which increases traction on snow.
Excellent traction and acoustic comfort on ice
In the basic version, this tire is offered with a tread without studs. However, they can be installed at any time, for which the manufacturer has provided from 90 to 108 mounting points, depending on the size. Without studs, the tire does not remain helpless on ice, thanks to several thousand lamellas that improve traction. At the same time, the multi-step arrangement of blocks and lamellas cut into them improves acoustic comfort.
