By the way, it was during this period that the rebranding took place, thanks to which the JAC brand appeared. Some talked about the merger of the Chinese and Korean enterprises, but it did not come to that. And after some time, the contract between them was terminated.

New stages of development

One of the important stages that contributed to the further growth of production was the receipt of a permit for the production of passenger cars. This happened in 2007. Three years later, the company also launched a program to develop the electric vehicle sector. All this allowed to significantly increase the number of sales.

No less important were the partnerships with foreign manufacturers. In particular, in 2010, an agreement was reached with Mitsubishi Motors, under which the supply of transmissions and engines was established. And in 2017, a joint venture was created with Volkswagen, the goal of which was to create electric vehicles.

Today, JAC is a major manufacturer of a wide range of vehicles, producing sedans, crossovers, pickups and many other types of equipment.
