The vehicle is a technically modified version of the 2014 M3 minivan. It is built on the same platform as the higher-end M4 model. This is a classic solution for "light" commercial vehicles with a frame, 2-link front suspension, a solid axle, and leaf springs at the rear, with a longitudinal engine layout. The engine range is the same as its predecessor. The base version offers a 1.6-liter "atmospheric" gasoline engine with 120 hp. An alternative is a 2-liter engine with the same 4-cylinder inline configuration, producing 147 hp. Both engines are paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.
