Generation 1

The first Infiniti M30 was released in 1989. This was a luxury coupe, the basis for which was the platform from the Nissan Leopard. Therefore, some elements of the latter were transferred to the new car.

The transmission was assumed to be only a 4-speed automatic. The suspension could be made at the front, either with MacPherson struts or with automatically adjustable shock absorbers. Generation 2

In 2002, a new generation of M45 appeared, which received an improved interior. The design was based on more smooth lines. Under the hood, a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 340 horsepower was installed. This was a Nissan development, which was previously installed only on the Q45. However, in order to cover the development costs, the company decided to expand the scope of its application. The engine was combined with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the design, the rear suspension underwent global changes, acquiring a multi-link structure. This improved the quality of handling, and the ride became more comfortable.

Generation 3

The next generation started in 2005. Its basis was the Nissan FM platform. The car was characterized by an increased wheelbase, optimized ergonomics, and rich technical equipment. Under the hood, as usual, there were engines with a capacity of 3.5 and 4.5 liters, with a power of 280 and 325 horsepower, respectively. The redesigned suspension provided precise handling, excellent maneuverability, and smooth ride. From this generation, the M series became the flagship of Infiniti.

Generation 4

In 2010, an updated generation was presented, which stood out with even more smooth lines and bulging forms. The car received several engine options from 2.5 to 5.6 liters. They were combined with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The model received many system assistants, including blind spot monitoring, lane control, collision warning, and so on. For the 2015 model year, the name was changed to Q70. And in 2019, the manufacturer announced the discontinuation of the series due to low sales.
