When I saw that the Kaluga plant started producing the remolded ContiPremiumContact 5 at the end of last year, I immediately realized: I need to get them and preferably faster, from the first batches, before they start saving. I managed to grab the tires from February 2024. No complaints. Balancing in 10-15 grams (and that's for 10-year-old disks). On the go up to 80 km/h, they are completely inaudible, further - it depends on how you push them. They hold water perfectly, and get rid of pebbles on their own in a timely manner. After the oak and very noisy "plastic" DUNLOP, it's just quiet and soft on these Gislaveds. Those who write negative reviews are clearly exaggerating, or maybe the production in Kaluga has started to save and cheat.
The tires have a normal sidewall, not like the IKON's, which are like jelly, a competently made tread, and they smell like rubber wheels. On dry smooth asphalt, I checked them in a wheelspin from a standstill - they squeal. That means they are made of rubber. The plastic DUNLOP was crunching and crumbling like a dry cracker. At near-zero temperatures, they do not become hard, and it's not scary to fly into a turn.
They are good. You can buy them. The question is only to the current level of quality of manufacture.
