I'll tell you straight up, I'm on 255/65R16, and I drive very dynamically and aggressively, even my diesel-powered ride with its impressive acceleration is pretty much out of control. Under these conditions, a tire's true character is revealed. If the tire holds up well, you can drive on summer tires all year round, winter or not, without any issues or accidents, just like our fathers and grandfathers used to do back in the day when there was only one

Good tires for their price. They're priced around 285/75R16 on my old diesel Terrano. They handle well in snow, are very quiet, and grip well on down-graded tires. However, they don't handle well in mud (although it might be biased, I drive a Cooper Discoverer STT in the same size during summer). I'm skeptical about their performance on ice (compared to others, they're better than Hakkapelita LT but worse than old Yok

Definitely the best tires I've ever put on my car. Perfect grip on both snow and ice. Eventually got over 60,000km out of them. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

Before that, I drove for 10 years in winter and summer on mud tires. In winter, I often had to turn on the front axle due to the specifics of driving a car (short base, light rear, lock of the rear axle) as a result, constant skidding.

I installed Blizzak DM-Z3 for the winter period. Now I don't regret it at all, the car's handling has changed very much for the better. I now use four-wheel drive in extreme cases. What didn't I buy it earlier?..

The tire is amazing. After putting those studs on other cars last winter, I put these tires on my Honda.
They're simply super - on any snow, dirt, ice, and asphalt. They grip the road great even on ice.
You can put your hand on the tire and it sticks to it like glue and smoothes out the roughness.
    I am absolutely satisfied.

Ran about 25000 km in a year. Generally satisfied. Minuses: slippery in corners (a bit too much speed and it'll slide); low speed rating (Q); braking on dry asphalt - not very good, on ice - very bad (main minus), a bit noisy on good asphalt. Pluses: good traction in snow and mud, surprisingly well aquaplanes at 285 width; reliable (no punctures and other "delights" under different operating conditions; good

My first experience with "studs" was before that I only had studded tires. The mileage is not big, I haven't seen much ice, so I can't say anything about wear resistance. On snow, it's confident. I switched from studded tires ONLY because I needed the size 285/75/16 and it was from Japan, also with a deep tread. Other manufacturers were more expensive, or from Russia. For Siberia, maybe studded tires would be better. The car is a diesel Toyota Surf 185, 4WD.

I chose it because of the rare size 285/75 r16 and the other brands were twice as expensive at the time of purchase. Overall, it's a year-round tire, but I need to test it a lot more. I think it will be good for driving on snow-covered roads.

    I recommend

I bought Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 before the first snow. On wet roads (slush) they perform well, they handle snow drifts great, but on pure ice the tires don't hold the car very well and on dry roads during turns the car tends to lean a bit

    Good winter tire
    Pros: Holds snow-covered road well
Cons: Slides on ice, but with four-wheel drive you don't feel it
