Tires on Great Wall (Греат Валл)

One of the largest automobile manufacturers in China is Great Wall Motors Company Limited, which is familiar to consumers from many countries under the familiar Great Wall brand. Currently, its production lines produce a wide range of vehicles, both for public use and for specialized purposes. At the same time, the company operates not only in the domestic market but also actively engages in supplies to many countries around the world.

The Beginning of the Story

The manufacturer's first plant appeared in the city of Baoding in 1976. At the initial stage, the basis of the activity was the assembly of vehicles from third-party manufacturers. Mostly these were compact trucks that enjoyed special popularity within the country. After some time, becoming intensively developed, the manufacturer created its own design bureau, which later transformed into a large-scale technical center with testing laboratories.

An important stage in the development was the release of a cargo minibus, which was introduced in 1991. Five years later, as part of cooperation with Japanese manufacturers, the Deer pickup appeared. This is a modified model of the Hilux from the Japanese Toyota. The car turned out to be so successful that it immediately became popular not only in China but also far beyond its borders. The Japanese continuity played a significant role in this, guaranteeing not only high operational characteristics but also improved reliability. Over time, the model has undergone a number of modernizations, but it is still being produced.

The beginning of the new millennium, namely in 2001, was marked by the opening of new production facilities, the main activity of which was the production of power units for various models of the brand.

The Beginning of International Trade

In 2005, the first batch of Chinese cars, in particular, the Hover and Wingle models, were sent to Europe. Specifically to Italy, where they gained significant popularity due to their low price and excellent technical characteristics (especially compared to competitors). The low cost was due to the use of components from third-party manufacturers, namely from outdated models. For example, the Hover was equipped with a suspension from Toyota 4Runner, and an engine from Mitsubishi.

The company's further development is associated with international trade. So, in 2011, the famous Hover H6 model was released, which became the best-selling in the manufacturer's history. Notably, it also reached Russia, appealing to domestic car owners. Moreover, since 2004, the company has officially been present on the Russian market. In 2006, it even planned to create its own local production, but the plans were not successful. Nevertheless, over the next few years, the manufacturer carried out trial assemblies at various Russian plants, and in 2014, a full-fledged assembly line was launched, located in the Lipetsk region. This factor alone has led to the spread of Great Wall cars in our country. In this regard, we offer to use the services of the "Mosavtoshina" store, where you can always purchase disks and tires for any model of the Chinese manufacturer.
