Шины на GMC Acadia (ГМС)

GMC Acadia has been part of General Motors' extensive lineup of SUVs since 2007. In the brand's model range, this vehicle filled the gap between the compact Terrain and the massive Yukon.

First Generation

The vehicle, introduced in 2007, was built on the GM-developed Lambda platform, thus becoming the first model in the brand's history with a bearing body and front-wheel drive. Essentially, it was positioned at the intersection of two classes — minivans and crossovers. The chassis hinted at this unequivocally, with "MacPherson" struts used at the front and the proprietary independent H-Link suspension for GM's passenger car models at the rear. The steering system with variable gear ratio was also borrowed from them. Under the hood was a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine from the High Feature family, borrowed from the Cadillac CTS, producing 275 horsepower and 350 Nm. The power unit was invariably combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission, a joint development of GM and Ford.

Second Generation

In 2016, after several minor updates, the North American brand introduced the second-generation crossover. It differed from its predecessor in concept, representing a full-fledged crossover with enhanced off-road capabilities. The vehicle significantly decreased in size, yet remained a fairly large car, 4.9 meters long. One of the consequences of this was the narrowing of the salon in the third row area, which could now accommodate only two passengers instead of three. However, this only applied to more expensive trim levels, as standard versions had a 5-seat layout.

In terms of technology, the vehicle was close to the "crossover" Buick Envision, also "borrowing" the platform and a significant portion of components from the Cadillac XT5. First and foremost, this concerned the engine lineup, the base of which was an in-line 2.5-liter gasoline "four" with 197 horsepower. The possibility of using it emerged due to the significant reduction in the crossover's weight, which turned out to be 318 kilograms lighter than its predecessor. This difference is noticeably less in the most dynamic modification, which received an "atmospheric" V6 with a volume of 3.6 liters, producing 314 horsepower. Both power units were combined with a 6-speed "automatic", front-wheel drive in the base versions, and all-wheel drive in the more equipped versions. One of the latter was the "off-road" All Terrain, which received not one, but two clutches. The additional clutch is used for flexible variation of the degree of locking the rear differential. The presence of additional components made it impossible to obtain a 7-seat salon.

In 2019, the vehicle underwent a fairly significant modernization. The lineup of versions included a modification with a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with a two-scroll turbocharger and a system for disabling half of the cylinders under low loads. The power unit developed 233 horsepower and 350 Nm and was combined with a 9-speed "automatic", which became the standard equipment for the other two engines as well. Its presence led to changes in the salon. For its control, a panel with buttons on the central console is used instead of a lever, which allowed the cup holders to be moved closer to the first-row passengers. Among other innovations that affected the salon, it is worth noting the appearance of a new multimedia system with improved graphics, on which, as before, the image from the rear-view camera is displayed, but with increased resolution. Externally, the updated model can be easily distinguished by different LED headlights with characteristic C-shaped daytime running lights and a massive radiator grille.

Third Generation

In the fall of 2023, the premiere of the third-generation vehicle took place. Technically, it was one of the variants of the Chevrolet Traverse, having significantly increased in size compared to its predecessor, adding from 81 to 260 mm in all directions. The difference from the "original" was the characteristic brutality in the exterior design and the characteristic C-shaped shape of the running lights, typical for vehicles of this brand. The increase in size had a positive effect on the spaciousness inside. In particular, the crossover already offered a 3-seat "gallery" in the standard configuration, and on the second row, two "captain's" chairs as an option. Another change in the salon was the appearance of a transmission control lever, replacing the button panel in the predecessor. In its place is now a 15-inch "tablet" of the multimedia system, and in front of the driver — an 11-inch instrument panel screen, which can be supplemented with an 8-inch projection display on the windshield for an additional fee. Additionally, cameras with a 360-degree view and adaptive "cruise control" are already available in the "base" version, which can be replaced with the Super Cruise system for automatic control, available as an additional option.

In technical terms, there were not so many changes, since the vehicle used the same platform as its predecessor. One of them was the reduction of the engine lineup to one engine — an in-line "four" with a turbocharger and a volume of 2.5 liters, producing 333 horsepower and 442 Nm at its peak. It is combined with a new 8-speed "automatic" and front-wheel drive, with the possibility of replacing it with all-wheel drive when ordering more equipped versions. And, as before, among them is the "off-road" AT4 modification with the same all-wheel drive system as the predecessor, but with an expanded track, changed suspension settings, and an increased ground clearance of 25 mm. The standard wheels for this vehicle are from 18 to 22 inches in diameter, which are presented in the online store "Mosavtoshina" among other products.
