Pirelli Ice Zero (Italian design, Italian production) - provides unmatched performance in the winter season.
One of the latest innovations from the world-renowned Italian tire giant, the first studded tires in the P Zero "collection". Its primary target audience is owners of high-performance passenger cars, including crossovers and heavy-duty SUVs. As the tire is primarily in the premium segment, it's no surprise that the latest technologies available to Pirelli were used in its design.<

Fourth season on Ice Zero. Flight was normal! Treads are in place in full depth. Did not count individually, loss in single digits, mainly from last winter without snow. Protector was also very deep initially, so tread life will definitely last through this winter. I am satisfied with the tires' quality as they have high stability regardless of weather, road quality, etc. The ride is soft, confidently keeps the trajectory even on a corrugated road (a winter regularity). On ice,

Excellent handling (compared to Michelin X-Ice North XIN2, which I also compared to) - minimal (much less, almost imperceptible) lag in steering, ABS system is activated much less often. Excellent traction on ice and snow, on asphalt. Maybe slightly worse directional stability in snow mush (but ESP successfully solves this problem). Overall, I rate the traction characteristics as very good. The main drawback is the terrible tire noise (roar). At a speed of around

I chose this tire based on reviews on this and other websites. I drive exclusively on "Pirelli" tires. Before that, I used "Pirelli Winter" in the winter, a studded tire. Now I have "Ice Zero": I took it for a trip from Astrakhan to Arkhangelsk and back. Before that, I drove this same route in February on the same tire! So, I have something to compare it with! So, in the city:

I bought this tire in 2022, a 2021 model, second-hand, with only 1000 km on it. Consider it new. I drove 12,000 km on it during the 2022-2023 season, in conditions ranging from -27°C in Moscow to +19°C in Rostov-on-Don. What I want to say is that if you're choosing between this tire and a similar one at the same price, go for it - you won't regret it. It handles snow and ice with ease. It drives well on rough roads, doesn't float, and doesn't throw the car around. Braking is always predictable, whether on dry or icy roads. On wet asphalt, yes - you need to keep a distance, as the ABS often kicks in. I only got stuck once - in a courtyard parking lot where icy puddles had formed, and my car was parked with its rear end towards the curb, so I couldn't rock it or gain speed. By the way, a diesel BMW X3 with 9 Hakkas next to me was also struggling to get out, but couldn't.
The tire's durability is impressive - after 13,000 km, it looks like new. Considering that 4,000 km of that was driven on the highway at speeds of 140-160 km/h. By the way, during one such trip, I hit a huge pothole at 110 km/h, which I'd even call a abyss. The impact was so strong that it even tore the mirror off the windshield. The tires are fine, and the rims are also intact.
Now, the downsides - it gets noisy after 110 km/h. You could even say it hums. But that's understandable, given that my Solaris has almost no soundproofing. One stud fell out of the front tire. You need to be careful in wet weather when the asphalt is wet.

I drove about 2000 km with these tires. During that time, I experienced both city driving and a 1200 km highway drive. On the highway, I encountered snow. I was very pleased with the tire's behavior. My car is a rear-wheel drive with a 280 horsepower engine, so I had concerns that it would be difficult to control on icy roads.

Average noise level (only hear the studs, the tires themselves don't vibrate), fantastic cornering stability - even if it understeers, the understeer is predictable and well-defined, without the car rotating. On a snow-slush at 0/-3 degrees, it bites poorly, quite terrifying to drive, but I don't imagine having grippy tires for such weather, except maybe from a tractor :) Before that, I had a set of some old Hakkapeliitta from N

Pros: ice, snow, all types of country roads, including open ice, passes well (grip of studs, aggressive tread pattern) no hint of aquaplaning on ice studs very aggressive (within reason) Don't freeze up, ABS rarely engages during braking.
Cons: Roars like a helicopter at 60-110 km/h - absolute madness! Floats in snowy slush at positive temperatures, pulls the car around. Spring driving is awful until the tires are fitted for summer.

Hello, I decided to write an honest review about this tire.
The size is 175/65R14, and I have a VAZ 2114.
I bought this tire based on the reviews in this store and from four point sellers.
What can I say about the tire? First of all, the price is very good, I bought it early and for the price of the tire and the price of the installation, I paid less than 3000 rub- Vehicle:

I want to share my experience with the Pirelli Winter Ice Zero 245/45 R20 103H XL winter tires.
I bought a set of 4 tires in November 2025. My vehicle is a crossover, and the region of operation is Kemerovo. Those who drive in our region in the spring understand: roads after winter are often broken, with potholes, seams, and ruts.
After driving about 7,000 km and changing the tires seasonally, I discovered that 3 out of 4 tires had developed bulges on the sidewall. This was an unpleasant surprise for me, as the mileage was relatively low, and the damage appeared on three tires at once.
The tires were sent to the manufacturer for inspection. According to the response from Pirelli Tire Russia LLC, they did not detect any manufacturing defects. The letter stated that the area of the bulges showed cord breaks, and the manufacturer attributed the damage to external mechanical impact and operational causes. They refused compensation.
I won't argue with the manufacturer's conclusions in this review. However, I made a simple practical conclusion for myself: for regions with poor roads, I would not choose tires of this size (245/45 R20) again.
Yes, formally they are XL, but in fact, the sidewall proved to be too vulnerable in my conditions. Perhaps on good roads, there would have been no problems. But if you live in a region with potholes, broken asphalt, and spring "surprises" on the road, I would think twice before buying exactly this size.
After this experience, I will choose:
a higher profile;
a smaller rim diameter;
SUV-class tires with a really strong sidewall;
models that are better suited for poor roads.
My personal conclusion: for Kemerovo and similar regions, I do not recommend the Pirelli Winter Ice Zero 245/45 R20 103H XL. Not because I can prove a factory defect, but because in real operation on poor roads, the sidewall, in my experience, proved to be a weak point.
All the advantages of the tire are offset by economic inexpediency.- Vehicle:
